Can someone enlighten me on Reishi's? Are they edible or are they used for treating something?

Medicinal shroom. You have reds, yellow and black. Used to make tea or tinctures.

They support immune health and are called Lingzhi in Chinese which could be translated as "mushroom of immortality". Here are a couple pics of the "antler" form, produced in low FAE environments, like inside a closed grow bag:

Nice reishi!! G. lucidum is one of the species I plan to grow next season if I get a culture or find a wild one! is it easy to clone?

Why lion's mane gets ugly sometimes on the upper area of the fruit (yellowish-pink like dried)? low humidity?

I conclude lignicolous mycelium such as oyster decay phenols using laccase and peroxidases, such as lignin peroxidase. Both methods require oxygen to function properly, as both methods "oxidize" phenols-other to decay them.
Here is Tarragon oyster on phenol based T-Gel Agar (plain, no gelatin additive). About 2.6mm of the surface has turned clear, not much remains.

----
Since T-Gel plain essentially contains no notable sugar, cellulose, starch and proteins, the main carbon source is phenols. The mycelium produced new cells, sugars and other essential carbon based materials via the phenols.
The tea extract also provides the minimum essential macro-micro nutrients needed for growth. Adding the gelatin increases biological efficiency by roughly 50% via nutrients.
----
Nutrients: Tea leaves, Ready-to-drink.
Phenolic content in tea.
Proteins, varies: [ Cx | Hx | Ox | Nx ] x. -- Trace, minimal. Polyphenols, varies: [ C6 | H5 | O ] x. -- Phenols. Cellulose: [ C6 | H10 | O5 ] x. -- Trace, debris.
Theobromine: C7 | H8 | N4 | O2. -- Phenol. Theophylline: C7 | H8 | N4 | O2. -- Phenol. Caffeine: C8 | H10 | N4 | O2. -- Phenol. Theaflavin: C29 | H24 | O12. -- Phenol. Tannins: C76 | H52 | O46. -- Phenol. Catechin: C15 | H14 | O6. -- Phenol.
Carotene: C40 | H56. -- Hydrocarbon.

In addition, T-Gel:
Adding trace carbon (0.0001%) macro-micro nutrients (nitrogen, potassium and so on) increased biological efficiency by 50-100%, depending on the amount. This further proves the main carbon source was the phenols-other present in the tea extract. The added nutrients increased carbon utilization.
It's likely mycelium expel carbon in order to change it's internal nitrogen ratio (C:N), therefore the carbon waste likely reduced. In low nitrogen cases, the mycelium will probably throw away lots of carbon to increase the nitrogen value.
If the mycelium produces an insoluble or gas (example: CO2), it will likely become "lost".
In addition to above, I do not believe that waste can be reduced to zero.

They aren't producing very heavy. Definitely one of my favorite to eat! Next fall and winter will be growing a lot.

Flavour's really good but I don't like the thick stems when they mature. they can get really chewy. I prefer them in the wok!
