Vatman was experimenting with soaking the oils out of pine with some success. Get the old standard brown oysters they will love 30° at night.

Pine works, but you will need to extract the inhibitory materials, or add lime to your hydration water, and keep the materials as broken down units. Or use very aged pine.

Was that to test solid matter vs small units, under indoor cultivation settings?

Thinking back I believe it was more of an aesthetic endeavor.

I am having FAE problems with my oysters but this morning I changed the setup of my bad ventilation system and I think they look like correcting the shape.
Before they used to be like this:

But this morning I changed the way I have the system and this afternoon they looked like this:

Beside the long stem (they were a few days with a bad FAE) the shape of the cap is now is round, much rounder than before, before they were with a "reversed" shape. They used to be concave but now they are convex.
What do you think?

Yep looking better- starting to shingle a bit. Still Long stems but it’s amazing how just a day of a better environment can make such a noticeable impact! You’re on the right track mate! Keep it up! This is a great “eye-training” time. Keep up the meticulous observations of your fruit formation, you can gather data firsthand on what changes you made and what the effects were, they can come in real handy down the road, especially if something in your setup fails without you noticing-you’ll be able to catch your fruits leaving their optimum formations and correct your issues before they become devastating.

My first LM doing well!

I've been leaving them out at night and bringing them in for most of the day. My area is hitting 43-45F throughout the week with 80-95% humidity. I'd keep them outside, but don't want neighbors to see and figure they can use a little warmth. The little bucket isn't it's normal area in there. Just handy to carry around.
I'm thinking the big one can be harvested in a day or so?

Thanks, MP. I hear such conflicting opinions, but I guess everyone's taste buds and priorities are different.

Everyone has an opinion. I stick by the rule of the spines being 1 cm long. Here are some from last week.

MP,
Thanks for the help. Those fruits are beautiful and not to mention huge! Very impressive. With that many to harvest, I assume you sell these?
