Those are spectacular drake! Are they picked in a cluster or individual? Look similar to shiitake , what is the taste like?
I pick them in clusters and flavor is pretty mild and nutty

Try em in bags side fruited. Put the ready to go back out after frost in spring. Get big conks.

I will eventually. It was just fun seeing how they would look with almost no oxygen. I have little tea sticks.
Are you saying put the block outside when I'm done with it and it should fruit in the spring Bod?

You could also burry it just below ground, maybe give it a little extra wood for it to feed on until fruiting time. Ive seen quite a few professional grows with buried logs. They produce some very nice conks.

If you are growing them for medicinal value then you are better off keeping them as antlers. If you like aesthetics then go for conks

I've always heard the conks are far more medicinal. The antlers produce far less spores tho. Conks are more bitter so the belief is there's more polysaccharides and triterpenes.
And TBC no it will fruit thru summer and fall if you put it out in spring.

Nice TBC....
Mines are getting 'stretchy' looking inside. Everybody and their uncle where I looked anyways- on-line says that it's from 'high CO2'.
I don't believe that is true. I have a fan on 'em, plenty of fae. My guess is light and warmer temp is doing it to mine. Right now Inside:

First Fush Outside:

Same block/bag/log whatever one wants to call it.

Having a fan on them is circulating air, not necessarily increasing FAE. You need to vent from the chamber to outside, so the air can be replaced by FRESH air. What's your fruiting chamber look like?
