Yours look like mine , could use more fresh air and or cooler temps. I really don't care about mine it almost all goes into tincture.
I got it on 15° C and use a blower for fresh air.

It's still dodgy for a vendor to label a common strain as a near extinct variation.

Not very surprising tho. Very immoral and very irresponsible to mislabel strains for marketing.
Marketing and morality don't usually mix Like selling tilapia as red snapper

Reminds me of the pink oyster LC I bought on ebay that was dirty. The guy mailed it from about 20 minutes away from my town. Blamed my technique for every plate getting the same contaminate then stopped responding. I wanted to go give him some lessons.

Yup, I invented T-Gel for that reason, I was fed up of good genetics going to waste so easily. The good news is I get to isolate clean growth onto wood, and make my own masters.
I also found isolating growth on end medias, produced better mycelium. For example: 25g dry wood + [X] wheat bran, use it like agar.
Transfer to ME agar, then spawn, then end media.

isn't that because you train the mycelium to use the right enzymes from the beginning? I can imagine that shiitake produces different enzymes to digest malt and lignin?

Brain food!!!
Yes! In just a few short weeks, I too may have some tasty hericium erinaceus. I will be sure to post a pic if it works out. Even if it does not ('cuz of grower error) I will post in 'confessions'. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, The Medicinal Mushroom Zone.... Ganoderma- something, maybe- lucidum!

Pholiota adiposa - chestnut mushroom on soybean hulls and wood pellets, excellent yields - averaging 1.5lb off a 6lb bag. 3 weeks from opening to harvest tho

Those are spectacular drake! Are they picked in a cluster or individual? Look similar to shiitake , what is the taste like?

Oooh pretty lions mane guys. Also fantastic oysters Bod.
I forgot to refill my humidifier and they got a little tinge. Also these oysters are so pretty white even though they are supposed to be blue oysters. I'll get some better lights eventually but color doesn't matter for me.
