I hope my blue oysters look that nice once they finally emerge. Very nice. I also considered using my tidy cat bucket in such a way.

@TheBlackCat - I CANNOT wait to see how your grow goes. Got any pics of agar work to isolate your G. sessile?

I just found this pic too of the reishi piece with a little mycelium growing on top through the jar. A bit blurry but this is the humble beginnings.

Nice, Quadman!  What did the block weigh to start; sub/sup mix and how much spawn?

I shoot for 5-6# blocks. 1 quart of spawn per bag. Approx 40% spawn and soyhulls combined. I've been adding bark mulch which bulks it up quite a bit.

Awesome; thanks, dude!  It'll be interesting to see how mine do with the lower spawn rate an 30% bran.  Also only did 3lb bags to give them some headroom as I didn't have xl bags.  Hope they turn out half as well as those beauties!

Lol its quite delicious. I picked 17 lbs of them 2 days ago and sold them all that day for 14$ per lbs. That's 240$ they are quite popular especially here in the PNW.
