Delicious. Reminds me of scallops or something sea food-ish. I get a slight peppery/spice after taste.

The characteristic smell is apricots, but the taste is much less fruity. I find them to be generally quite mild in terms of umami with a bit of 'spice' at the back of the buttery taste; the aroma being the main delight.

I decided to buy the hydrofogger from the official website because they give a 1 year warranty and have replacement parts. Foggers from ebay/china are a bit cheaper but you just never know what youll get when dealing with that. I just wanted something thats guaranteed reliable.

It works really well but you will need a fan to blow the humidified air around. I am satisfied with my purchase so far. My room is about 550cubic foot and the hydrofogger boosts the humidity from 70ish to 95ish no problem. Its really rated for a much larger area.
The first night I had the hydrofogger it got left on for about 8 hours straight and it looked like it rained heavy in my grow room lol

It's coming along! 2 quarts of Goyster spawn to 12 cups of hardwood pellets, layered in the bucket. Here's the top.

When should I remove the plastic from the top and tape from the holes?

12-14 days after you spawned it. Leave the plastic on the top and fruit out the holes if it's not in a very climate controlled environment.

Thanks man! So leave the plastic on for fruiting as well? Nice. It's not in a climate controlled environment at all. Same room as all my other growing things actually. I plan to move the bucket to the living room for more fae once fruit bodies appear.
Thanks for the reassurance!

Unfortunately I think I see some green spots around the middle, might be the camera though.

It's the camera/lighting. I just double checked haha No mean green so far. The only time I ever see green is in grain, usually after a shake.
