I will probably check out different mediums at some point. Thank you for the idea.
Right now I just wanted to get my feet wet and learn how to use the microscope and look at the mycelium as it was starting to grow from the cloned material and get an idea what to look for when I start doing transfers. I want to be able to identify different contams. That way I know if I am contam free when I make liquid cultures.

Phoenix oyster is less nutritional that King oyster, so King oyster spends more time producing nutrients. Just pointing out why Phoenix is generally faster with a higher yield or fruit mass than King.
Highly ideal if you want quick colonization and a great fruiting yield-potential.
