Ferather said: @Tripping2Adventure, very nice, I prefer wood or cellulose transfers. I bet you could put wood on a plate, and agar on top of that.
Would that be for a no pour tek? How would I be sure the wood wasn't contaminated? I don't think I understand.
I have some apple wood chips for the smoker, was thinking about soaking them and using them for the next woodlover agar batch I do. Or maybe even making sawdust out of them and adding.

I was thinking sterilized wood on top of a prepared plate, with a sample of agar on that. Pretty much picture 2 from your post here, for cleaning or transfer purposes.
Another way is to use agar on a toothpick stuck into a plate.

I mixed up some oyster spawn and hay from a pet store in a pot outside on May 7th. Yesterday I decided to check on it and found a couple clusters, they were next to a raised bed creating a micro climate between the walls.
Im going to have to do something about the slugs though.

Great video from some oyster growers in Nepal. I love watching these "low tech" operations grow amazing fruits, but I'll tell you what...this video takes off 10minutes in.

First round of reishi(i have 8 other bags) on day 12 and lions mane around the same time. It's difficult to see but they are fruiting in vitro.

Yeah that's the plan! I supplemented with wheat bran and used a high spawn ratio so I am curious how it will turn out. It's already ridiculously hard and dense.

It's a local oyster found on a downed willow. Couldn't tell you much more than that. It generally has a heavy pinset with very few aborts, but the caps are small and thin. Similar to a bag grown gold.
