Is that where you dump your raw sewage Looks like a bunch of algae maybe?
Lol just algae. Was an old tub that sat in the rain. Got too gross to easily remove it. I ended up having to scoop goop out of it then wisked it over to the dumpster. It was foul.

That's hilarious man. I think we all have tales of contaminated subs and letting them go a little past their prime
On a side not, I have a bunch of reishi bags going, and half of them are starting to conk inside the bags which are impulse sealed. The bags are .5 micron. I assumed the high CO2 environment and minimal gas exchange would maintain antler growth, right? They aren't even that tall yet, maybe 4" on most of them.

That's what I thought!
I'll post a pic later when I get home. I mostly do reishi in tubs, this is the first time doing them in bags and I am pretty shocked to say the least.

I have officially run out of room in my tiny house

Yes that is an ironing board I am now using as a shelf. Might try to squeeze another shelving unit in either the corner of my living room or inbetween the one in my kitchen and the Flowhood. Can't wait to make more money and move into larger diggs.

Damn... that really tied the tree together, man.
I'm just jealous of all your findings. North Texas's biodiversity sucks and most wooded land is completely overgrown with underbrush. I was born in Northern Virginia- I miss being able to wonder for hours through the woods.

After months without mush for different reasons I suddenly got mushrooms popping up everywhere! Got primordia in the shiitake cultures I tranfered to water. After three weeks of swimming primordia are starting to form? Another shiitake started growing on an old dish and these giants are wine caps that I spotted too late in the raspberry plantation. Somebody got a clue on the primordia forming on water? Too much AE? Thanks

I would start taking transfers, since you have a jar, add some sterilized wood toothpicks, using clean tweezers. Then pass the pegs to either more agar, or alternative, validate clean and make seed-grain spawn.
To answer your question, possible contamination and last resort fruiting, or age.
