Edited to add:
Going to pour out the rest of the plates I have. Decided to throw a HWFP in there to test the practices I have read about training the mycelium- after letting it dissipate out I decided it wasn't enough coverage so tossed another large one in. Satisfied I loaded it into the St George bottle (I always die my Agar green, so its fitting, eh?). PCing at 15psi for 45 minute.

Dude that agar looks really thick. What recipe is that?

Are the HWFP for cellulose-other and better binding?

I had just read about incorporating a little of whatever substrate you are using into your agar mix in order to "train" the mycelium to consume it. Going to run a trial to see if it makes a difference.

Mycoflora - wow, what the hell species is that in pic2??
Oh, and on coffee grinders - they're $15 at walmart. They're all I use. When yours shits the bed, which they will about every 6 months if you use them a lot, buy a new one at Walmart and take back the broken one in the new one's box with the new one's receipt. Long as ya clean it out as best you can, they don't look or give a fuck. Neither does Walmart. That entire family wipes their asses with $100 bills lol.

Pioppino. I keep my room at 60f pretty constant, between that and the new 6500k lights I've been getting very dark and vibrant colors.

Wow, that's a really, really, weird looking strain then. They usually look almost like cubes, I've never seen anything with dark almost black caps like that, that's insane!

It's actually Swordbelt! From what I have seen, as pins they are very dark brown, almost black, then as they mature they get that more caramel/cubensis color. Idk why, but everything seems to have more dramatic coloring in colder conditions.

I was going to ask the same thing! The kinda look like beech mushroom - one of my favourite for sure. I've got this strain from mycoflora and it's one of my fastest growers, nearly as fast as the oysters. Really excited to fruit this one.
Also good tip on that walmart trick
Myco, what sort of substrate are you using for the swordbelt ? I was planning on going with 20% bran supplemented HWFP

That should work great. Everything in the pics except shiitake was grown on cotton seed hulls with 8% soybean meal, which is the equivalent of 20% bran. So far it seems like everything loves csh. I'm even testing some reishi and shiitake on it right now that seem to be doing really well.

I've managed to get Tarragon to have brown caps rather than white. However I am still experimenting with this variation.
