Re-connect dehydrator Heat (pictures)
    #23959598 - 12/27/16 12:27 AM (7 years, 1 month ago)

*Issue Solved - Thanks *

Hello.
I picked up a American harvest snackmaster dehydrator with the Heat disconnected. Same dehydrator as in this thread below.
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/4078376
I was hoping someone had a picture of how the wiring is supposed to be so i can re-connect my heat element.
thank you for your time.

Pictures of my dehydrator. The person I bought it from disconnected the Heat.
*Red arrow points to black wire that is cut.

If this is in the wrong category just lmk

It's a pretty simple circuit, probably been modified to just fan dry without heat, likely just one wire.
Need pics thoogh

Can you see where it was cut? If so why can't you just re connect it? It should be a simple circuit, not too many options. The wires for the element should be thicker wires than the fan wires.  If you have a multimeter check between where you think it should go. If you have to run a jumper I'd use #14 wire or better with good solid connections to prevent possible failure and fire.

Trim the black wire that's not in anything and try to put it inside the orange wire nut and see if that completes the line.

Did a little checking, there should be some wiring on the top side of the fan as well.
Can you post a pic of that?
Should look similar to this........

Figured it out.
The model I have doesn't have any wiring on top of gray plastic cover.
My black cut wire goes to the fuse end with blue wire.
I'll post another picture better explaining.

The Black wire that was cut was originally connected to a metal tab (Red X in picture shows where tab was) All the previous owner did was- cut the wire and metal tab.
I'm installing a toggle switch that shuts the heat off/on while I have it apart.
Thank you all for posting/helping.

When I get around to building a Flow Hood I will post it.
