I'm interested in seeing your results
I've never seen anyone on here talking about bio-essaying a Tersh before. It's ALWAYS Bridge (first off), Pach or peruvianus to the least for some reason

They have been growing in my yard for god knows how long, and they are literally everywhere. Im hoping it is active but I guess there is only way to find out. Wont be doing it till around 12am pacific time tho. I like to be alone when experimenting with some new substances.
it is to my understanding that you should not eat the core cuz it will make you sick, does anyone know if this is true? also if anyone has even the smallest amount of experience with this cacti any help would be appreciated !!

It's Trichocereus spachianus (or Echinopsis spachiana). No alkaloids worth mentioning.

Are you positive that it is that? and if you are I was just reading that even that species of cacti has mescaline in it. tho I could not find out about amounts or anything like that. definitely will do more research

I'm also interested in this.
Most say T.spachianus has no mescaline, but one book I have about cacti mentions it as active, mescaline containing plant. Never tried one myself, though.
T.terscheckii on the other hand is said to be pretty active, with a mescaline concentration close, or similar to T.pachanoi. Next summer I'll get some and test for myself.

heyyyyy guys im back well last night I boiled it all down to two big mason jars that held 500ml anyways I tried a drink and it was terrible so I decided to concentrate it down as much as I could and that took about another day. but long story short it turned really syrupy and I started to choke that down, which btw was worse. So as of 5 mins ago I finally finished my cacti syrup.

So you just downed three feet of this cactus!?

Concerning rather "unknown" species I'd better start with small ammounts. Report back!

Well I do not think the cactus was active at all. Maybe I did something wrong? Cuz some trustable sites say it is active. Should I have cooked up the middle of the cacti also? probably gonna try again in about a week but instead of just partial cactus I will use the whole thing.

Poor cactus. More than likely this species, T. spachianus, is not active, containing at most trace amounts of mescaline.

So much for the "trustable" part of those sites. Not trying to brag, but I did tell you it is not active...
