They have been growing in my yard for god knows how long, and they are literally everywhere. Im hoping it is active but I guess there is only way to find out. Wont be doing it till around 12am pacific time tho. I like to be alone when experimenting with some new substances.

it is to my understanding that you should not eat the core cuz it will make you sick, does anyone know if this is true? also if anyone has even the smallest amount of experience  with this cacti any help would be appreciated !! :acidcat:

It's Trichocereus spachianus (or Echinopsis spachiana). No alkaloids worth mentioning.

Are you positive that it is that? and if you are I was just reading that even that species of cacti has mescaline in it. tho I could not find out about amounts or anything like that. definitely will do more research

I'm also interested in this.

Most say T.spachianus has no mescaline, but one book I have about cacti mentions it as active, mescaline containing plant. Never tried one myself, though.

T.terscheckii on the other hand is said to be pretty active, with a mescaline concentration close, or similar to T.pachanoi.
Next summer I'll get some and test for myself.

heyyyyy guys im back well last night I boiled it all down to two big mason jars that held 500ml anyways I tried a drink and it was terrible so I decided to concentrate it down as much as I could and that took about another day. but long story short it turned really syrupy and I started to choke that down, which btw was worse. So as of 5 mins ago I finally finished my cacti syrup.
