Hey guys I'm on my second grow using cakes. I'm fruiting some now and some are still in jars. One of the jars is only half colonized but there are two pins invitro. Not sure what to do with that cake at this point. Any ideas?

its probably bacterial and is pinning to escape the environment.

Could use a pic, and invitro pins don't always mean something is wrong, they are common in cakes due to the way mycelium grows. Mycelium starts in on area and grows outwards meaning it's point of origin will be the most mature, consolidated and fruit-ready as compared with the leading edge. This is why pins tend to develop at the top or near inoculation points. Once mycelium has everything it needs to make fruits and continue spreading genetic material, it really wants to do so. Sometimes even if the environment is not perfect.
Ejaculating into the wind is serious business for Fungi.
Once it's time for you to dunk the cakes, just treat them as though they don't have any pins. The pins will survive a dunk just fine. If the pins are getting quite mature before it's time to dunk, just harvest them, then continue to treat the cake as normal.
Does that answer cover it?

Those look excellent. Every one of them. Normal invitro pinning, no problems.
Stick to my first posts instruction.
