What type of mushroooms are these?
    #23955197 - 12/24/16 09:47 PM (7 years, 1 month ago)

Hey if somebody can tell me what type of mushroom this is. It would be greatly appreciated. I wanted to make sure that the mushrooms I found are ok.

those are very old psilocybe cyanescens, they might not be viable anymore. try to dry them in a food dehydrator or in front of a fan on paper, if they become cracker dry and do not have any mold on them when dried they should be OK to eat. mold looks like tiny white dots or white fuzzies, use notebook paper to dry, if you use tissue paper or paper towels the paper will stick to them and look like mold

Would it be ok if I washed them in water? Then let them dry. I dont see any mold spots but the black does worry me.

Rot happens inside the tissue not just on the surface. Sorry man, i would not eat those.

Honestly anyone who tells you to is putting you in possible danger.

They are probably a Psilocybe species that have been frozen repeatedly and have decayed extensively. Throw them out.
