Experiences with the mycelium of a psilocybin mushroom

Hello. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had an experience with the mycelium of a psilocybin mushroom. Before the appearance of any mushroom. Not by ingesting it, but just by being around it? Very interested if anybody has. Thanks.

You mean like.. being somehow psychologically affected by being in the same room as mycelium?

There are no effects, other than possibly placebo, from being 'around' a mushroom.

It's possible if you think about it. Being around mold affects you. Having plants in a room affects you. Nothing psychoactive, but possible subtle changes based on gas release or the certain smells released through decomposition.

That's basically what a placebo effect is though if you think about it. Those smells and sights are just triggering memories, they're not affecting your neurochemistry through direct means. OP are you asking if it affects you like a drug? If so the answer is most definitely no. If you're asking if it affects you at all then notcory is spot on, everything around you affects you, it depends how aware of it you are and what significance it has to you.

if you use rye or wbs you can slice the monotub bottom that you just pull out and a slab 1 inch by 3 inches is about equal to 2 grams of cubes.
Easy to extract with vodka though.

It's possible to telepathically communicate with living mycellium in my experience.

Yeah, psychological, emotionally, spiritually. In a profound way. I'm still trying to figure it all out. I know it sounds impossible. Thanks for the replies.

It didn't happen out of the blue. It started after I had been meditating in a certain way while sitting in front of the mycelium. This was about three years ago. At first whenever it would hapoen I found it extremely difficult to deal with, psychological and emotionally. At the same time there was something good about the experience. Over time its become much easier. I've learn what's helped the most is just being, being in tune with nature, in tune with the universe. Inner stillness.

I'm not saying this is, I can entertain and have experienced some pretty unexplanatory things, but meditation, like psychedelics, can most definitely bring about dilusions. It's pretty common. Just because you were sober and believe you experience something doesn't make it so, be mindful and analyze why you believe this and you may find it doesn't have ground.

Thanks for the reply krypto2000. If it was a one time experience I would definitely agree with you. But this has happened dozens and dozens of times, and not just to me but anyone who is around the mycelium. Even though they are completely unaware that the mycelium exist. I'm aware of how crazy this sounds. Anyways, thanks for the reply.

last week at the shroomery, dude eats a 0.2g piece of mushroom and has too strong of a trip....
...this week at the shroomery, dude merely sits in a room with mycelium and trips out.
Curious what next week is going to bring .

You say it's not just you....so anyone who has walked into this room with the mycelium just starts tripping out? You said this only started to happen to you after meditating a specific way for a while, did these other people have to meditate the same way for it to happen to them?
What are your "trips" like when being near this mycelium? How long does the trip last? How long does it take to come up? How intense of a trip do you have by being in the same room with this fungus?

Yeah, I don't understand what you mean. What exactly are you experiencing? How do you know others are experiencing it and that it is related to the mycilium?

Well for one it's nowhere as intense as taking a dose of mushrooms. I wouldn't even call it a trip. It effect everyone differently, kind of the same way taking a dose of mushrooms would. When your in the energy field of the mycelium there's a very noticeable difference in the way you feel and also in the way you perceive everything and everyone. It's very gentle but at the same time very powerful and transformative. That part is very enjoyable, it's 24 to 48 hours later after you've been in the energy field of the mycelium that you begin a period of psychological and especially emotional turbulence that last 3 or 4 days. Although this part can be very challenging there's something good about it at the same time. No you don't have to meditate with the mycelium for this to happen.
