NC news gets pwnt!

Last Thursday, there was a snowstorm here in North Carolina, and all the TV stations posted closings. There is one statewide cable news channel that had a tool on their web site that allowed businesses to post their closings. Well, a few college students decided to have fun with it, and posted a few closings of their own. Take a look at them at the link below.

The way they did it was by giving their businesses names that sounded semi-legitimate (mostly) and putting legitimate-sounding information for the closings. The people checking the businesses were so overwhelmed by the number of closings that they barely noticed some of them (there were a few, however, that didn't make it to TV). Once the business was approved, the information could be edited. The edits were not checked, which is how things like "Call R. Kelly" got on there. I saw the original screen shot, and it said "Check website for more info".
