Every time i take lsd i get tension in my upper back, i'm not sure whether it's related to the vasoconstriction or whether i'm all tensed up.. But it gets quite sore and distracts me.
D'you think taking a muscle relaxer like carisoprodal, could help ease things - without dulling the trip as Diazepam would? B

IDK man, it could work, but you are getting in weird territory. I have similar feelings on cid and find stretching/using my back massager helps.

Try to find ALD52 has a 1/8th the pyretogenic effect of LSD (vaso constriction/ muscle tightness) and zero anxiety throughout the experience. I have taken LSD25 since I found ALD and will probably never go back. total lysergic bliss

I got a back/neck massager for my b-day. It has been working wonders during my trips. I get tension in the back of my head down my neck and all over my upper back/shoulders.
I put the massager on my neck and the back of my head and EVERYTHING gets loose back there. All the tension is relieved and it feels so good.
I would invest in one of these things instead of more drugs. Healthier and you can use it when not tripping to relax after a long car ride or hard day of work.
I have one that does shiatsu if that makes a difference.

Plenty of stretching exercises and Yoga in the weeks/days before the experience should do the trick, downers will most likely also have an influence on your mind and are not recommended. Good luck !
