Bug's first tub project. 6qt dubtubs (PICS)

If this looks a little familiar it's because I've been talking about it with ColonelAngus in his micro mini dubtub thread. I'm not generally one to log my grows tho, so I wanted to log this one since it's my first tub setup.
I started with MS to agar, and made 4 transfers before innoculating 6-1qt jars of whole oats.
Oats were sterilized for 2 1/2 hrs after PC reached 15psi. I shook them at 4 days and 8 days, then left them to colonize for almost another 2 weeks (21 days total).

I'm making 2 dubtubs (total of 4-6qt sterilites) with 3 jars of oats 3/4 full and 3qts of cvg for each (total of 4 1/2qts spawn and 6qts cvg).

Here's my dubtubs right after spawning. I know the holes aren't right at sub level: I ran a little short on coir and verm, but it wasn't much, so I went with it. You guys think I should tape off my lower holes and put more in at sub level, or will this be ok? My wife keeps every ceiling fan in the house running constantly, so air movement shouldn't be an issue I wouldn't think.

Notice my tape job sucks, good thing looking good isn't a requirement for a dub.
I'll add to this thread as this project progresses, especially at harvest time.
I welcome all criticisms, good and bad. This is my first tub project. I'm anxious to get something other than cakes compressed into mini-trays going.

dubs that size really don't need holes. they get tons of fae just from the imperfect fitting top tub.

edit: oh just saw, i'd remove the tape. you've made this fc a bit more complicated than necessary. i know these tubs are only $1 a piece, so just buy a few more. trust me, those things you made are probably going to dry out from those holes, which will require you to mist the sub every day, which means removing and applying the tape every day.
trust me... I've done all this before

I taped the seams to seal it off, so I probably do need the holes. Maybe not, but they're there already, so I'm gonna run with it unless anyone thinks it's a bad idea.

yes its a bad idea. those tubs are $1 a piece, so I'd buy some more and simply set them on top. in fact, its better just to keep the lids on while they colonize. see pic below

dub them only when they start fruiting. trust me... I've done all of this, including building taped dubs with holes. ive been working with dubs for roughly a year and a half now. this pic is from april 2015

Yea, I saw your edit after I wrote that I had them taped off.
Should I have any kind of GE holes in the lid for colonization?
Nice setup tou got there btw.

nope. the lids don't fit perfect either. I recommend you spawn 1.5 quarts of spawn to 3 quarts of sub in them to achieve a decent sub depth that won't dry out. keep them away from fans and ac vents too. a closet with a 6500k bulb on a timer is where I grow mine. these are just sitting out now cause im bout to harvest them at my comp while i watch some bob ross

Ok thanks for the info.
I love Bob Ross. I've been watching him lately to help me,learn my color mixing because I started tattooing about a yr ago too. I'm really good with all black and solid colors, but I need work on the mixing and blending.

I got too much sub to fruit with the lids on. It comes up to just an inch below the top of the bottom tub. I like those grows you got tho.
