Had a woman and her kid move in unexpectedly, my dilemma is this....I got some Kramer cakes in fruiting now...I don't want to scrap my project but fuck! Should I be straight up with her or keep her in the dark about it and try to finish this run, and be done with cultivation until she moves out!! Makes me nervous as fuck having her around to be honest

Dang. Personally I'd keep them in the dark. Tmethyl kinda confirmed this for me.

If you're growing Cubensis or other 'active' species, do not tell anyone about your grow. When I say 'anyone' I mean not even your best friend, not your mother or any other family member, nobody needs to know. Don't even tell them you have some Cubensis. Tell them "I know a guy who has some".

What about transporting the cakes to a friends house? Not necessarily an easy thing to do, especially if the roommate is around a lot of the time, but I hate the idea of throwing out live mycelium. Depending on where in the world you live, transplanting the grow to an outdoor location could also be an option.

I hate it too...because this is my first gen AA+ x PE6 grow and I need at least one print to continue on with the project at a later date

If you tell her, then you will have to get rid of it, or else you're just incriminating her. Why don't you just make sure it is in a safe place that no one will have access to?

My sgfc is in a cabinet...did my best to put it in a place that would be warm enough for fruiting...I really am beside myself on this one...I already scraped pretty much everything else I had going on except 5 atl#7 jars...had 4 cube varieties on agar for cleaning I scraped already...

With Penis Envy, just because you see fruits does not mean you will see spores. Penis Envy fruits are often sterile (few or no spores drop) and the gills of the sterile fruit can be light yellow in color (Instead of spore-filled and dark). Later flushes usually bring more spores than the early flushes, but often only a couple fruits drop spores.

Right, but I'm not sure how you took cronicr's comment and arrived at the conclusion of "pe were sterile in their spores." I'm not even sure what that means. Spores are not sterile. PE spore producers are not rare at all, just less common than with regular cubes.

I just did a quick search for sterile and penis envy. Sterile in this sense does not mean clean, but failing reproductive organ. I remember reading somewhere quality PE genetics must be cloned and not from spore. The original strain was supposedly sterile and had to be made into a culture.

Just hide it and grow edibles in the mean time. Once she leaves which might never happen you can grow actives to cows come home.

-------------------- The biggest trip of my life was realizing all of the events and actions described in posts made by this account were never real and had never actually happened, but were instead the delusional ramblings of a severely mentally ill human being. I just had to move on for my own good. I love you all.

PE for me has caps thick with spores. You just need to swab the spores off the gills.
I've literally never seen a sterile PE. But just like with any cube they're not uncommon.
