We Have a Contest going Folks!
Please see the first page for contest guidelines.
My entry:
I confess that ever since the CoronaVirus Pandemic got underway, I feel kind of guilty when ever I use Lysol wipes when I do sterile work. Surely there must be a more important job for them than my myco habit!

What in the world could be more important than your "myco habbit". Rainbows are good for the world. The more we farm the better. I'm my opinion.

I confess, that since the virus pandemic started that I can be pouring agar in the lab and take a break to go walk the dog in full lab gear (facemask, gloves, hell... maybe even a lab coat) and I feel like I fit right in. no need to be taking out the trash and think to myself "hey dumbass take off your mask, the neighbors are watching ". I've never felt more "normal"

Lol my growroom window is in the side of my house waaay in the back, like where the big ac box normally is, so there’s no reason to be back there.
My SAB is right up on the window with three shoeboxes fruiting on top. A few days ago I was doing plates wearing only boxers gloves a beanie and a mask, so I’m sitting there rocking out to some music and flaming my blade and look up and my new neighbor is standing there staring at me.
lol so I gave him a “what’s up” head nod and he just walked off.
Usually during late afternoon on I have a shower curtain over the window that lets light in but you can’t really see through. In the mornings everybody’s at work so I don’t worry about it but I guess he got sent home to quarantine.
Luckily he seems cool. When he’s home he’s always either hacking up a lung in the backyard taking bong rips or walking around his garage in board shorts drinking beer.
Now I’m just waiting for him to ask me for shrooms.

I confess the wife is going nuts with this isolation factor and I’m perfectly calm because I’m devoting my extra time(what little I have) to growing mushrooms!
If people look at me I say “ I didn’t realize everyone decided to become a surgeon at the same time”.

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here so please keep the accolades, respect, appreciation to a minimum. I actually have two confessions. One is a covid one and the other is just one that has been rolling around in my mind since I started this hobby.
I confess, since covid has started, it has really helped me gain a deep appreciation for my cultivating hobbies. I spend a lot of time in my basement with my jars, pots and buckets and find that they bring me quite a bit of peace and joy.
I will also confess that this hobby has made me a mild germaphobe. I cant look at an open jar of mayo or jam without wondering what kind of crap is floating into it.

I confess I feel like shit and have no time to harvest. Being essential and having a sinus infection during corona is really pissing me off.
Also thanks for these buddy! (You know who you are!)

I confess that I stopped mycology for a really long time. Now that I’ve wanted to start up again I can’t find any isopropyl alcohol and I’m rationing what I have left like it’s water in the middle of a desert lol

I haven't run out yet but you can use Everclear or a diluted bleach solution if you have to. I bought a handle of Everclear as a backup.

You give me hope, PsiloPsychIn
I confess I had a way better set up in a rental I had in college, SUPER long, deep coat closet with a single door opening to it...Now I have some shallow bullshit that's right next to the air duct.
I confess that while my yields were not amazing in that set-up, the weekend lemon-teks were legendary.

I confess I just got ape swabs!!! I'm like a kid at Christmas man not gonna lie.
I also confess I am happy that I am now on my own supply of shrooms. It's much safer than the street supply. But my partner is a fan of cannabis. I go out for that from time to time. I am more paranoid about that than I am my garden. I got shot in my teens buying bud so that maybe adds to it. Maybe it's time to covert some furniture and buy some greenbeans

I confess im really down in the dumps trying to cultivate again, I took a little break and I am really struggling to get back up to full speed again. I never remember having the trouble with mold like I do now, my culture work looks pretty good but it just seems that either none of my cultures are clean or my sab work is not up to par. But ill keep at it one of these days I'll get a grasp on things again, just needed a place to vent.

Boy Howdy MH5109 I read you loud and cloud with a Texas-sized 10-4 good buddy. I had some MAJOR troubles germinating shit at my house, I think I may have finally gotten some but I've had contam, bad grain, even though I remember breezing through my 2nd and 3rd cultivation attempts (with moderate success). I don't really like getting wuwu about things but sometimes I feel like the mushrooms are distant from me and sometimes they're right there in some ethereal sense. It comes back though so hang in there!! Canopies by June: Lets make a pact.

So I confess...I was low on food and didn’t want to go to the store, but then the wbs ran out.
I rolled into Walmart like this...

And nobody batted an eye. I’m really shocked it’s not a Wild West free for all some places. I’m sure some of the guys I know back home have shoved a ton of “shrinkage” down Walmart’s throat during this lockdown.
