I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone ever say they are all caught up on myco work 🤓. Congrats, now go get something else going!

Yeah man I'm actually bored with myco work by now. Still have some transfers I can do but my stash is crazy. Have to be realistic about choices. Even the pet projects are off the train.

Just placed some pins on my first agar plates, looking forward to watching them grow out.

Hello all, it's been a bit for me. Just got back into town from visiting family and what not. Came back excited to get some myco work done. Knowing I would have a lot to do and nothing but time due to quarantine, picked up a nice set of size 8 running shoes to give me some motivation when I got back. Was getting everything set up and organized; getting warmed up with a couple 12 inch hot rails. Ready to jump in this thing and hit the ground running, when I dropped my glass chillum\large one hitter and watched it shattered all over my floor. Stupidly hot shards of glass everywhere. So now I'm trying to find where I can buy a glass tooter in a statewide stay-at-home order state. Contemplating using a spare 10ml borosilicate glass pipette.... Do head shops count as essential? Oh wells.....I will call a friend over tomorrow to help. Always better to run with a friend anyway

Haha, ya know, my whole druggie life, across several cities, large and small in different states, this is the one drug whose accepted names can vary extremely from region to region, even by neighborhood. My latest favorite term for it is "energy crystals" (to improve energy flow and positive vibrations) but old favs include gofast, running shoes, dope, and crank (also crankcaine once upon a time when it was used as a cut). Ask for dope in the wrong region or wrong people and it's anything from herron to weed. Was an old favorite back in the day when I realized I was too poor to be a coke head and a quarter gram would keep me up for a day instead of an hour, so I always grab some extra when I'm near to bring back for an old friend that followed me out this way.
Yeah, I have 3 or 4 spare 10ml pipettes that i will have a go with. Man that chillum worked so nicely for hotrails though. The bottle neck in the bowl was just perfect. Oh well, necessity being the mother of invention and all...... For now I just threw some med tape on the broken end of the stem and it works well enough, would just prefer a bit more room for it to cool before I coat my nostrils molten hotness. Thinking of it that way, those pipettes may work nicely as well. They are about 13" in length. Should be nice a smooth by that point. Looks like I can't get back to work for another 4 weeks likely and my friend just got laid off as well so we have nothing but time and motivation to figure some shit out. Hell, normally I could walk to any corner gas station and get a suitable replacement; just a timing thing.
As for removing the taper.... Thinking about the string soaked in lighter fluid trick for cutting glass bottles to get a clean cut but not sure that will work with boro glass. Second would likely be heating with a torch, then cutting with shears and reshaping hole (using second spare pipette for shaping). Any suggestions?
And as always, don't want to steal thread for my recreational meanderings.
I confess I made it back into town just in time to save the 2nd flush on all bit 1 shoebox....which promptly forgot about while dealing GF (fought through most of my time out of town; lots to talk about) 2 days later I think I have still lost 2, 3 at most.

Well goddamn, I'm past all the normal work and now I am on to "the shit I would never grow" and even that is finishing up
I dropped some fresh LC all over the kitchen floor and it was great. I got to clean up glass and remake it. I mean, it was something to do
