Like I mean, whaaaaat the fuuuuck. I left it for a few days longer, and the trich mostly stalled when hitting the blobs. I've been struggling with this strain and its propensity for making inactive blobs. Some samples have been sent for checking if it is mycogone.
I confess...that I made seven of these tubs.

Congratulations! I confess that when I ordered my first case of 300 I thought it would take me 5 years to get through them... NOPE!
I also confess that when I have more plates I get a bit careless about how many cultures and isolations I’m working on and end up tossing plates. I feel bad about that single use plastic. I’m going to try to be more disciplined about how many plates I make.
I’m also going to start using wide mouth 1/2 pint jars for culture work more often.

That's some wicked shit teladi. I just ordered a case of 500 more petris and I'm stoked to get back at it. I confess I haven't grown anything in a few months and now my container of LME no longer looks like powder... Shit looks like milk shake gone bad for some reason. Still have loads of beer so I'll be ok

Say you are about to put some spore to agar. How many plates you normally use. Or in the case you are doing T1 transfers. How many plates you normally would do? I been doing about 3 each time. Feels like maybe I should do say 5 when doing transfers?
Confess I also ordered 3 new books about fungi. Me and the girlfriend have said no more screens after 8pm so now she is reading out loud for me every night in my mushroom books it's been great

I confess that I spent two months cleaning up cultures on agar, carefully prepped and PC'd grain jars, inoculated with my agar, but still ended up with spawn than is more bacterial than when I used to steam sterilize brown rice and inoculate with MS spore syringes.

When I do MS inoculation I usually just do two plates. When I start doing transfers I can’t seem to pick just one so it’s often 3-4 different sectors. Still manageable. But if those start to look good and I transfer 3-4 ... up to 16 now... if I can control my curiosity and get more selective maybe I’ll get down to two copies of each good looking sector at T3 or T4. Meanwhile I’ve held on to all the donor transfer plates and I wait to see if they will produce plate pins...
