I hope she’s OK.
I talked to her a couple weeks ago and I think she’s just busy getting set up in a new place. She was pretty happy.
You old timers (no offense intended) need to stop in for a drink more often!

DnDR,
I’ll stop in! Met a few shroomery people. Pretty fun all the different walks of life but we all have one major life affirming thing in common, bond is tight.

I confess. I think I blew my chance at winning first open fruit for the 20/20 grow along. I dropped a wedge in two jars and made my transfer. Then I wrapped the plate, took it out of the SAB and just grabbed the two jars. When I went to shake them I realized that the lids were just sitting on but not tight.... Damnit Jimbo! Fingers crossed nothing got in but I doubt it. I also confess editing my grow log is a PITA with the mobile platform. I may have to get me a computer and a microscope just for my shroomery account.

You could always get something like a chromebook. Under a couple hundred dollars and will do just fine if you only want to browse the web.
And now for my confession. I was in doubt... Denial even...
I isolated what appears to be trich.

Welcome back former madhatter333, good to see you back. I have to admit that I was a little concerned about you when you dropped off the site, glad you're okay.

I confess it happened again. But for different reasons this time.
I had a leaky gasket on my last PC run and had to vent pressure and restart. Thus, about 200ml of agar boiled out of each of the three media bottles. So again, I have a PC full of very soft, but still solid, agar.

That makes no sense to me lol
I confess, I'm losing interest in the rest of humanity and finding my place in nature:not to be confused with society, which is anything BUT natural... unfortunately, I MUST interact with others in order to maintain income: but I'm finding some fairly clever ways at minimizing the need for much revenue or interaction... want nothing, need little, love a lot, and take in it all

I feel ya! I spent 3 months in the mountains with my dog and hated coming back. I was planning my next big escape (3+6months) but that's gonna have to be pushed back unfortunately. Though not sure any of this is mush cult related.
Which part makes no sense?
I confess while trying to make up for lost time, I may have start way more projects\cultures\variants than I will be able to keep up with.

The nature I speak of are primarily my cultures... I have relationships with each of them
Watching them grow to fruition time and time again: like time lapse children (ya know, if neglect were best for your kids)
Agar boiling out : either too full or need to slow down and reduce the temperature(or both)
Water based liquid in boiling water should remain inside the vessel
Are they proper media bottles? Are they proper gl45 vented lids? Try loosening the caps before pressure cooking next time as well

Fair enough
I used unmodified 500ml media bottles so I loosen the lid and cover with foil. The issue this time was that I had to stop and restart the cooker when the gasket start leaking. It was already up to 10 or 12 psi so when I pulled the weight off and the pressure in the cooker dropped suddenly the agar boiled over as the pressure evened out. I know it would likely happen and could hearing it while it was happening. But the leaky gasket on the lid lock was making one of the most piercing screeches I've heard and I, and my dogs, couldn't deal with that sound for the time it would have taken to reduce pressure without venting.

Good thing the caps were loose. Reducing pressure too fast can cause your glass to break.

Indeed. But caps are loose already to allow pressure to escape during regular PC cycle as well since they are not modified.
Really the boiling out part isn't the confession part though. I knew it what would happen when I did it. It's me once again forgetting to empty the PC water before it cools and solidifies. I've gotten pretty good at fixing that now though.

If they're proper lids (gl45) It's not necessary... They'll vent and vac without issue

Wait you don’t need to loosen media bottle lids if they’re gl45??

I dont tighten them with the Vulcan death grip, but not going out of my way to leave them loose: it's designed for the very purpose

I drilled a hole in my lids and added some poly. Then no worries about sucking in air. Proper media bottles I thought but still sucked in air. Had problems with contams so made the modification and was happy I did.

I confess Caps mcgee gave away his age somewhat by knowing about the Vulcan death grip.
