I confess that I may have just trich bombed my house while trying to clean it. last time I used my vacuum cleaner it was To vacuum up a millet jar that I accidentally spilled and it triched out in the vacuum.... luckily with the vacuum has a (supposedly 99.97% but I doubt it) HEPA filter built into the exhaust but I definitely smelled that mold smell before I shut it off

I confess, oh how I confess!
I've had a hard time getting back in the swing of myco things, since my busy work season ended.
Slowly getting back at it. My cousin wants to start growing for microdosing and while he was up for Christmas, we pc'd some substrate. I showed him what "field capacity" looked like and he mailed himself some LC syringes we made together.
Fun times.
It feels really good to have that excitement again of checking on plates and bottles etc.
Good to be home.

I confess, Iβm tired from a long day, I opened up the cabinet to look at plates and did nothing lol.. I also confess that Iβm going to have too many side pins in these new tubs Iβm trying.

they dont sell replacements just wash it dry it and pop it back in.
My real mistake was not emptying it last time I used it. Iβm not too worried though I use to pull off sterile work in a barn with moldy walls in a room that oysters had accidently pushed through their filters and sporulated in. My main contam at that spot was oyster myc but it was relatively rare. And my current myco room has wood floors and is super easy to clean, hopefully the 99.97 actually caught at least 95% of the spores and what I smelt was just because the seal on the dust container wasnt perfect...

I confess, Iβm slightly worried about Shaper. Its a trip how people can just disappear from online communities, and its even weirder when their last post is cryptic or something like this:

I hope sheβs OK.

Sure they do, I've seen them in store and online from manufacturers. Are you sure you looked at the right places?

Its a fabric filter made to be cleaned and reused. Not a one time throw away type. In any case i dumped the can full if triched out grain and cleaned it, washed the filter and will be using it again todayxto clean my house Perhaps there are replacements but like I said Iβm not too worried about it. Not much worse that a piece of fruit gone bad on the counter. Or the moldy 1/2 rotten wood outside my door If I start having trich issues in my sterile work you can give me a solid I told ya so and Iβll feel plenty rebuked, if you space canβt be easily wiped down you might have some cause for worry but there are spores fucking everywhere and a few more might pop me from 98% success down to 95 but Iβm sure Iβll survive.
Besides isnt this a safe confession space?

I was wondering where she went to. Had checked last post and saw it was a while back (the one aye posted above)
It is a trip how people disappear from this place sometimes. I still don't know what happened to DustBunny (ODD mod). Communications before he left weren't great but even if the worst happened he should have been back by now. Maybe he didn't want to tell me the worst case scenario.
Crazy...

Maybe Shaper got DiMiTri to come to the new crib too. I confess I've been less active on here and even late on the LAGM. Poured >100 plates this year so far. Got agar ready for the next ~100 to be poured today. Better go warm up the microwave...

I confess when I was first reading on here about growing shrooms and seeing all the pics, I was disgusted. BRF cakes, substrates, jars of birdseed and fungus, mould of a million kinds, petris of bacteria, moisture everywhere. I imagined it all smelled as bad as it looked. Shrooms were pretty, but the cultivation process did not look quite as sexy as weed cultivation.
I confess that now I know our weird birdseed fungus jars are beautiful.

I confess I drove a red hot scalpel through the bottom of my pasty plate.... for the second time this week.. then out of stupidity dropped the red hot scalpel in my lap. I'm not even high. I am just fucking stupid.
Got alot of new genetics on agar though, is there a safety guide for picture posting? I'm semi tech illiterate would like help. Is deleting exif data, using a vpn and making sure theres nothing identifying in the pics enough?

No identifying features in picture is a good way to go for sure. Shroomery scrubs pictures of meta data when processing upload though I always make sure georagging and such are off on my photos (not just for this hobby, but for general use).
Also, glad the scapel incident didn't come out worse than it did for you.

Happy New Years Myco Confessors! May your grows in 2020 bring you awe and joy... and not too much shock and disgust! Thank you for continuing to share and invest in your fellowship here in our online community. I confess that despite having two weeks off from my career job ... and therefore presumably time to work on myco hobby - I managed to get zero done. I still have fully colonized spawn bags from November in my garage. I did send out a few dozen spore print give away envelopes though... that is something I guess.

Sounds like me. Ran into some shitty contamination problems got a bit unmotivated.
I had 20 quart jars sterilized and sitting in my grow room from first week December until December 30th. And I have like a litre of colonized clean LC here too and just not been feeling it. And, it was my first 3 weeks off from school in many months. Totally thought I was gonna get so much shit done.
Nope. . I also did send some spores out, guess it counts for something eh !
December 30th jars are done now tho and I am making shoeboxes today.

Same boat here for sure! Hi haven't worked in almost 4 weeks now. And though my injury is definitely limiting my mobility, I have jars ready for tubs, plates to transfers and grain to prep and I can't seem to get a damn thing done when I plan to.
