I confess to this right hear. When I just move moldy tubs from one end of the house to the other, then neglect to dump them, I get those little bastard knats every time

Kinda tragic really, the Mushroom Mafia has been very active in 2019. Lot of guys sent to “sleep with the mushrooms...”

If one grows mushrooms for long enough, one eventually becomes the mushrooms

i owe prolly 90% of everything i know to roger rabbi. those videos when i started were an invaluable resource of information and learning to me. il even still watch them once in a while if i run by them. im sure im not the only one who feels that way. a lot of things have changed over the years methods come and go but the basics covered in those vids always stays the same. i do wish he would be more active on the site now that i am actually a poster. i lurked for a cpl yrs solid without ever becoming a member and even posting anything. now that i do i wish i had that resource available to me. i consider it a loss on my end for sure. not that the more senior members mods and tcs aint fantastic cuz yall are for sure. but i think u all know what i mean

Definitely His basic micro biology techniques are bed rock information for successful mushroom cultivation regardless of the species or variety.
I have to confess ... when I came across a picture of RR in a bra I was like “WTF?!” Then “That’s really cool, this guy’s brain has been liberated by shrooms...”
Not too long after that I came upon a picture of his cultivating cubes on MONEY! And I was like “Wow this guy is so creative!
A few months after that I bought his DVD “let’s grow mushrooms”.
I confess it’s always been a bit of a goal of mine to get a PM from him or a response to one of my posts.

ya hes a legend for sure and has taught this wonderful hobby to many many ppl. but as in everything else time rolls on and now all of you guys are in line to become the go to guys here and thats just how shit works in all aspects of life. and i think he knows that too and is why hes kinda stepped back and let others take the reins and drive. but that dont mean it wouldnt be fuckin great for a pop in once in a while. if only just to let everyone know how hes doin.

I remember the first time I saw the let's grow mushrooms tapes. My buddy had let's grow mushrooms, faces of death, and girls gone wild. Simple times. Fast forward to my first attempt at growing I googled let's grow mushrooms and after a while landed here. Thanks RR.

Always good to know your roots, But it's also always good to find fresh places to draw inspiration from. There are so many around here that do really awesome work with all sorts of different variables.
I confess, I've been thinking about going back to my roots and doing an old(timer) Wafer Tek

I confess: A. I have some old MSS I was trying to bring back on agar and on a whim went ahead back to my roots and started some PF jars with them. Figured if they fail I lose some brf and verm but if they work, I get fruits more quickly than from cultures I'm cleaning. TAMPS is actually doing very well
B. I am know very intrigued with this wafer Tek and may have to get it a shot with one of these cakes.

I got some really amazing results with it back when. For a while there on mycotopia it seemed like there was a challenge of making the thinnest subs possible. It was pretty impressive how well it worked, provided adequate conditions of course.
I confess, culinary endeavors have usurped all my half pint jars
New year, new jars, new spores collected on water from suspended caps!

I confess I didn’t wait long enough for my scalpel to cool in my SAB before cloning. It smelled like mushroom stir fry and I confess that I liked the smell

I confess that I have been using unmodified plastic lids for years for grain spawn. No drilling, stuffing or sfd. I don't even bother with the slight loosening for ge, they stay cranked tight. Typically 10-14 days full colonization. Don't understand why everyone else is still messing with filters. I'll never go back.
