Absolutely... I'm bipolar af, but its MUCH easier to manage when my thoughts and opinions of myself are the only ones that matter lol... I rediscovered mushrooms nearly 4 years ago, and started culting a little over 2 years ago... it has DRAMATICALLY changed EVERY aspect of my life... mind, body, energy, occupation

Ditto brother. I haven't been on this journey nearly as long but very similar begins for sure. I went and got lost so I could find myself and psychedelics sort of relit my way. Refound the me I was and have been trying to reincorporate back into society without losing that me again. Mush cult has helped me so much in many ways in the last 11 months. Hell of a journey and so glad I'm on it and found such an amazing community. Cheers mush mate

I now have a large stainless steel agar plate with lots of cultures in various growth stages. Discovered this oversight when trying to prep more agar in my fancy new 500ml media bottles. The yin and the yang of the cult.

Oh Man!!! That there would have been a winner for the Picture Confession Contest. What a beauty!

No appreciation for life...

I confess, I am jonesing for mycology and I'm not even out of town yet! I will do 40 transfers and spawn 3 more tubs this afternoon, and there are second flushes all over the house I'll be pushing until late tonight to get dried before tmrw morning... the only thing that really was off is the few golden oyster, and even fewer blue oyster blocks that aren't going to have time to fully mature... considering suggesting live fruiting blocks as gifts for the gf's folk lol... clever ploy to finish golden oyster without neglect, as this is the THIRD time I've not been able to finish them... timing would've been spot on with new unsupplemented sawdust, but both oyster species RIPPED through the recycled sub/block mix in a week's less time! Yield looks like itll be comparable: shiitake also notably faster on the recycled goods... 3 weeks faster colonization in a few cases! But, dont take my word for it... give it a shot!

I confess. I haven't been doing as much dumb shit latley so I dont have as much to confess on the myco side. But... I am starting a new job in a couple weeks and I went today to do a walk through and turn in the paperwork needed for a background check and to get my keys. Found out that I have to be current on all my vaccinations including the flu shot and they preform random drug test. I don't have to take one to start but it could happen at any time (so they say) I confess I'm nervous. I've always just been a kitchen rat floating from job to job city to city. The last 20 years have been one long party up till I had a kid. Now I really want this. It's a 9-5 mon-fri salary job with benefits and all that jazz. It would make my family a little more secure. That said. There is a huge tilt skillet and a walk in cooler with lots of metro racks. You could prep 300# of oats in one boil. The drain em and load em on sheet trays and into the walk in over night.

I confess that I was just reminded how precious life is and how short our time is on this earth. Never leave a loved one without saying "I Love You" or you may not have the chance.
A precious family member just passed away a few minutes ago and he was one of those rare people in life that lived what they preached. Now, he is being judged and will be granted passage to the next realm, God speed Uncle Bert, thank you for introducing me to the real Jesus Christ and not the one of organized religion.

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like you know he is gone to the next leg of the journey tho so take comfort in that. I know for me it takes time to hit. When I lose someone I'm fine for a week then it all hits me at once. Be ready for that if you have never experienced it before.

Took me over a year to actually feel it when my mom died. I had to take her off life support after she became brain dead. She lived off life support for 7 hours. Sorry for your loss Doc. I know it's hard.

mush love doc. it's truth you speak. when my old man checked out, it was a swift kick in the balls, even tho he'd been sick for a decade, a few years before i embraced mushrooms as spiritual medicine. then years later, as shrooming was busy saving my soul, i realized entirely that i hadn't truly reconciled his passing. wasn't until i shed my ego that i truly mourned, and came to terms with his demise.
i'm sorry for your loss, doc.
meanwhile, i confess that i've actually been dosing lately. and it's been grand. there's much to be done in the coming year, and i literally couldn't be more excited to be alive than i am right now. shine on forever, benevolent sun.
