I confess I started this hobby to help an obstructionist in my life through his wife's cancer diagnosis. I found out they are both a psychonauts years ago, and like me, couldnt find an outlet where we live. I also confess he is going to have an awesome Christmas this year because of it.

We have our differences but I love you like family, Glencairn. :moon:

I tried to power through this back pain and get some stuff done today....
MISTAKE!!
I got 23 plates poured and 2 jars nocc'd up before it got too bad to sit still enough to do any work, with lots of up and downs in-between so I question the quality of the work.
Now I'm worse off than before, and may have wasted all the effort. We shall see.
I hate being helpless. I go on week\month long solo camping trips with my dog. I build\grow\make everything that I can. Not being able to do something as simple as sit down is insulting to my own will.

Pain is an unfortunate reality of life my friends... Matter of fact,  it's the whole reason we're here:for the experience of suffering... Relish the experience, embrace it... it's yours and it won't last forever... a time will come when you won't feel anything: and you might welcome the pain as reprieve from the mundane... Long story short, be thankful

I completely understand that sentiment. There is not a single camping trip I've been on that at some point I was not absolutely miserable exhausted in pain hungry covered in bug bites and damning myself for willingly coming out there. That brink, that limit is part of why I do it. With that being said, no part of me will miss back pain. To be clear though, I still have the ability to walk and don't want to come off as just bitching about it.
In the words of Bob Ross, you gotta have the bad times to recognize the good. I can often see the utility and appreciate even the most mundane or unpleasant of "things", but two things I'll never have a appreciation for is back pain and seed ticks.

Black holes and revelations.

I confess I'm  letting my Hoog monos ride despite their fairly strong bacterial smell as they have perservered and colonized my coir/verm casing. They won't quit on me so I won't quit in them.

I confess im excited to get this next grow going. I've come a long way. A year ago I was getting my first fruits, I was misting the shit out of my subs all day then drying them back out at night cause I just couldn't leave em alone. I will never forget the feeling of seeing that first pin. I confess. I love this shit.

I confess, I had a really sloppy last sab session and got my first plate contams of the year. I consistently fucked up all of my plates lol. Only 3 plates but still. I think I was trying to take pictures while I was doing the work.

I confess I'm truly excited for this winters season, took a couple month break and was impatient before. My very last grow came from one true clean plate and I realized the rest of my plates to grain were bacterial as fuck.

Worked on my agar game, Got Proper beautiful clean plates. Running AA+ and Pe6 MS cultures right now then Ill do proper clone testing etc, doing it right this time.

Got the cultures in 1/2 pint master jars that I plan to expand to 3 quart jars for each 1/2 pint. I have 26 1/2 pints colonizing so thats enough for 76 quart jars

I need to build a flow hood and start working with bags but I'm not familiar with power tools.

A day or two ago I broke my first jar in the PC. Bottom blow out of an agar jar.
I assumed there was enough water in PC to thin out the mix and make for relatively easy removal. Then I forgot about it.....

I now have a large stainless steel agar plate with lots of cultures in various growth stages. Discovered this oversight when trying to prep more agar in my fancy new 500ml media bottles. The yin and the yang of the cult.

That makes me happy Caps, for real man. I love to learn and to grow almost as much as I love seeing others do the same. Sounds like you've had some hard times but are coming out up it stronger and happier. That is the key! As hard as it is to see and do so myself at times, that is it.
