Randolf it’s tough going from bachelorhood to live in girlfriend. It will be a give and take from both sides. The best thing is to be open with one another and express the ups and downs to come to a compromise halfway. It’s always tough at first but in the end, it may be one of the best experiences. It’s hard to have to ask to change the channel. Or you could use another tv. There is always another option that you can explore. Get through the hurdle and it will get better. There will be sacrifices and the question is are the sacrifices worth it for both of you. That will be the end decision.
I lived with my wife 5 years prior to making the decision to marry her. You really don’t know someone until you live with them. We had been together 10 years before I asked her. But I e lived and learned the hard way. So I take extra precautions. Think the decision out on a calm mind, non altered state when you are not stressed out. Don’t use emotion to make the decision.

I feel ya both and much appreciated. Years ago I lived with a girlfriend of 4 years. Needless to say that didn't work out but I learned a lot from it and partly where my apprehension comes from. My current girl and I have been together off and on over the past 4 years. I know we are not ready to live together. We had discussed it before and while she thinks we are ready or can be ready, I know that we are (I am) not. When this first started to unfold I said that if needed, I will not let her be homeless but that this is a temporary thing that would happen out of circumstance and not becuseee it's a good idea. I worry my choice of wording may have been poor. I know, with out a doubt, that we should not be living together at this point on our relationship, but can not use that feeling as justification for her being homeless. So I supposed I am just struggling to find a way to rationalize that. I care about her, even if I'm unsure of our future. Even if we broke up tomorrow, I still want her to be happy and healthy and have a good life. But I fear this is going to be the end for us in a very drawn out and unpleasant process.

You are right. I grew up in a family of criminals. The professional kind and I learned from a young age that people are hard to trust. My dad would tell me when I was a kid that if can count his real friends on 1 hand then he has lived a good life. I believe that and I don't have many friends. The friends I do have only know portions of things about me. I compartmentalize my entire life including the people in it. Sometimes I feel lonely because there is not 1 person whom I can talk to about anything, not even my girlfriend.

Well you are doing the right thing by not letting her sleep in a car. It will pay dividends later. Sounds like she is ready and you are not. Sometimes we have to do things we don’t want to. But those things may be what empower us to move forward. Feel it out for a while and see how it goes. Look at it as a tester to see if you are compatible to live together. If it’s only a few months, it will fly by. Then maybe you will miss her afterwards or maybe not. If you do, maybe it was worth it. If you don’t, maybe it was worth it to find out. Better to make the mistake now than when your married and have to get divorced.

I try. We have been together for over 2 years now. I trust her from day to day but in the event of the shit hitting the fan I can't be too cautious. I love her though.

I confess, I love the love, but struggle to see any mycology in the basis of some of these
I also confess, I'm going on a trip tmrw... trying to iron out details with another shroomerite who can make themselves known if saw fit... I'm turning another year older, a little later in the week... need to clear my headspace and start another trek around the sun in a proper state
Gourmet orders increase and I'm at my limit with space... I need to expand, but dont have the capital ... having to turn people away: hope it doesn't bite me in the ass

Heard caps. That's why I made a two part with the cult dilemma of breaking it all down. Before I bug out. Only a tangent but at least I got some myco talk in there. But don't think it is a secondary concern. For real bummed that I can't grow while I live in the mountains.

I'll be literally living in a tent with my dog in the forests of the Rockies. I'll be moving camp a lot and biking, possibly packrafting. I have thought about bringing some spores or cultures to knock a prime patch of ground and come back to it later, but certainly won't be able to keep my cult going. Trying to stock up before I head out.

I ended up cutting a whole part of the spore print into the agar.
Also I tried inoculating woodstick agar with a toothpick, and ended up sticking it through the the glass as a pole.

That sounds awesome man. I hope you enjoy it. You definitely should bring some woodlover spores with you. Find a dead tree thats fallen and rotting and bring a little bag of wood smoking chips like alder. Maybe knock up the root system of the dead tree. I've though about drilling holes into a fallen tree to insert Psilocybe Cyanescens dowels. One of our oldest spore vendors here on shroomery has a few different woodlover prints and syringes. They have the best ones I've found so far.

I confess I have 3 containers I was too lazy to clean the coir out of. I’ll probably just use them again on the next round. Good keeping it on track caps.

I've not even sprayed the last dozen or so tubs... just dry paper towel wipe down and go to town... I do stack them crisscross to air dry between uses, and cycle them FIFO... I suspect if the spawn is clean, little will matter the sterility of the container

why wipe at all if they're air dry, then?
a friend was failing miserably from not properly cleaning his tubs but they had been trich infested in the past. found out he was barely wetting his rag because he doesnt like the smell of iso. got him some evergreen scented iso and its all good now

Have to confess that now at school everyone was like "where the fuck you know that"
We had a chapter about "hygiene" and teacher was explaining about disinfection, sterilization.
Wrote that sterilization - safest and cheapest way to clean things.
And I was like waaait waaait dude, that is not true, sterilization is faar away from being "safest" hahahaha
then I told about the word sanitized and how it works, what temperatures and what machines to use, and it went into almost 25min of me explaining to whole class about it. Then he did a research on computer and so on and in the end teacher says well, we just have to trust what "name" is saying.
Feeling god damn enlighted with the shroomery knowledge hahaha was funny

Sanitization isn't always enough though... sterilization is a requirement in many instances
