Isn't this how u are supposed to do agar work? Well on a kitchen table? Where else r u supposed to put ur SAB?

I think the sin would be no SAB there. Just open air. Any table is a fine spot for your SAB.

I confess, I was almost done with a g2g sesh but still had half a master jar left, so I re-opened each receiving jar to add more colonized grain. Didn’t even realize I’m doubling the chance of contams till the next morning
Maybe I should look into getting wreckt BEFORE doing SAB work...

The bug is real. It dosent work like that. If you want to you can build a bed outside but they grow better in plastic bins under shop lights. Get you some brother! Go head first. Get jars some no pours and a PC. Best decision I ever made was this time last year. Got into mush cult and never looked back. Shits great. Hell im excited for you. Nothing beats seeing that first flush. Well. The first big batch of tea is pretty great too tho.

I confess just got done making some transfers with a new exacto knife. Latley I've been using with scalpel blades but it got rusty and I ran out of scalpel blades so I scored a new one. Couldn't get the whole blade red hot before the handle was impossible to hold. Gonna have to find blades cause I hate waiting for stuff to arrive. There is a medical supply store near me. Wondering if they have what I need or just a bunch of oxygen tanks and varicose veins socks. Maybe ill just order a big box and be done with it.  Bet those transfers are fucked.

I'll bet there fine. I used a blade once for almost a year straight with no issue do to the blade.
Only thjing that made it looks sketchy is when I'd cool my blade in my recieving plate it would spite carbon and sometimes rust flakes onto the plate.

Sorts like this

I confess, when I first started this hobby a few years ago I bought a "glovebag" (think clear plastic bag with kitchen gloves rubber-banded to it) instead of making a SAB.
I tried working in that miserable thing a few times with pre-poured petris I also stupidly bought.
Ended up pitching it after the second or third attempt and building the SAB I still use to this day.
