I confess I took quite the break there after a heavy mold problem on my culture dish's. Went to go prep some agar today since the temp's are now cooler in my house and looked closely at my agar media bottle and realized there was....black mold. All over it

My last batch of petris had the craziest mold I've ever seen on them, and it was all throughout and inside the agar too. Completely demoralizing.

Got a new media bottle on the way and I'm ready to take advantage of these cooler temperatures. Glad to be back.

I must confess...

I'm worried about these p.e. germ plates.  Six or seven days in and no growth.

It does take it's time to fruit but he's talking about spore germination. I've never noticed PE spores taking longer than any other cube spores, which have a tendency to germ whenever the hell they want to. a week is nothing to worry about.

I haven't noticed PE spores taking any longer to germ than any other spores. I confess I wish the SyZyGy spores I've been trying to bring back to life for the last two months would germ. I dont want to lose the genetics.

Inspired by tryptkaloids

I confess I have bought new jars in the past because I was too lazy\busy to clean the ones I had.

I am normally not a wasteful person.

I half-assed some grain prep and forget that it existed for six months.

I confess!

That's funny. I almost bought some shoeboxes yesterday cause I didn't want to deal with cleaning any and I got spawn and coir waiting. I confess. I didn't buy more. But I also didn't clean the dirty ones. Now that I think about it I'm getting pretty far behind with all things myco Wich is a real dissapointing place to be. Time to step it up. I also confess. I miss Capps and Shaper in this thread. They used to be here all the time. Capps and I grew up together so ill just go to his house but I'm sure other folks miss him. I don't know Shaper outside of here but I bet she is cool as fuck.

I confess that everytime I take transfers or put agar to grain, I sleep terribly that night stressing about contamination.

The second you prep grain you should expect it to be compost from that moment on, that way mushrooms are just a bonus.

I confess Im definitely not proud of how I've let my cutivation shit fall apart, but depression does that sometimes

Forgive me father, I punctured the shit out of my finger with a needle inside the SAB and kept inoculating.
Sooo much blood in the glove by the time I took it off... I guess the blod couldn’t clot inside the glove cause of a lack of oxygen...

No contams as of yet, so at least I know my blood is mold-free💩😂
