Exactly
If I lived in Europe, where it's difficult to find large pressure cookers, I would just build a steam sterilizer. It's relatively cheap and if you wanted a big one, you could do massive amounts of spawn. But a mini one would be cool

Are you guys talking about a steam sterilizer like the one that I worked with in food industry? Was a big ass metal kettle with bolts securing the metal seal lid with metal tubing hooked up from a steam generator running at about 50-60 PSI. Ran on diesel. But you needed to have it cleaned once a year by a pro or be very willing to get VERY dirty, and the water supply needed to go through a softening process to avoid calcification of the tubes... That seems a bit much for me, so I'm assuming you are talking about a simpler, more maintenance free system? And also, 2 day working periods? Shit, really? And you think that would be preferable? I've thought about building a pressure cooker myself a few times, but I'd need a whole lot of metalworking equipment. That's also definitely on my want list, but that's more of a 10-15 year engagement :p
For now, I'm cherishing my 8-ish litre pressure cooker (I think it's 8 at least, it fits 5 half qts)

It seems crazy to me that our European brothers have such a hard time finding a good pressure cooker.

These guys... especially the 941 model. I have a stove top version but some serious folk have the electric stand alone versions:

I just threw a squirt of clone tissue from 2014 on an agar plate. Wish me luck. I'm not confident anything will happen. But the tissue looked fuzzy. I had an extra solo plate and said fuckit.
I used to run two pressure cookers side by side all day. On the cheap I bought prestos. I had 1 aa. In two years I went through 4 broken prestos. 8 years later I accidentally dropped my Aa and it busted the guage connection. But it was still working perfectly until that accident. They say once you go AA. You never go back. I like my pressure cookers like I like my buds. High quality not bc shit.

I've been needing to do agar stuff for awhile. Harvesting a tub motivates me. I hate throwing cultures away. I just have to tell them it's okay. Death is only the beginning. In other realities you fruited and were consumed. They understand. I know they do. So as I lay these to rest. I take a moment of silence and free them to the will of nature in my yard. Did he say in that vid it takes him 24hours to run that thing? Seems awfully long to me... I don't see myself running that much spawn anyway :p
For me I think around 20qts would be the absolute max I would want to operate, considering the amount of grow work that would give me... Running my current PC 4-5 times in a row can be a bitch though... Anyway, if I were to build one I'd just be going with a stovetop build or something, not with all those fancy water hookups and heating elements and such... Just keep it simple. It is a cool and massive drum though!
