Nah I don’t use reddit or Facebook... Just the Shroomery and sometimes Instagram.
I found ythans post by googling “Shroomery shut down” And I confess the first week I checked the site daily to see if anything changed

You and like 3 other people are the only people I could contact from here. I was scrambling. Couldn't even remember my own damn casing recipe...well the water part. And I was like "FUCK" I don't know my new agar recipe either.

thats why my agar recipe is 1-2-3. I used a precise one for years and could never memorize it, had to look up my own posts to remember it. got tired of that, revamped the recipe to easily memorized. link in my signature to agar as easy as 1-2-3

Having my notes from previous grows was a nice security blanket even though it was still fresh in my mind. I would hate to lose that shit!

But I still ramped up my production during all of this.
I had these exact thoughts while the site was down. I was telling my girl : "If this shit had happened when I was still doing my first grow before I had a good working knowledge of the baseline skills I would have been fucked!"
I felt bad for all those guys-n-gals out there I had been talking to that I am sure were really struggling during the downtime.
In the 16 days the site was down I wrapped up the end flushes on a big batch of tubs, made a few hundred agar plates, and got to work doing clones and transfers. The site being down though has made me decide to invest a little effort into copying all of the super important and content-rich/detailed threads/teks to my own private backup system. It just feels wise to do as you can't predict the future with this crazy world/government, and I would hate to lose the info. Content gets removed from the internet all the time, if it is important to you now, save that shit. I would hate to take an extended break, and for some reason come back to find that the more, and more right-leaning government had clamped down and all was lost now, and with memories of how to do everything having faded etc, I'd be fucked. Anyone of a million scenarios could happen, this is just one random/unlikely one, but I think I need a rainy-day stash of information to get me from spore to harvest and back again if worst came to worst.
I know this is paranoid, but this site has been so incredibly valuable to me that I couldn't imagine losing everything. This 16 days made that clear.
As it stands the 16 days did me no personal damage. If anything it did some good causing this precautionary measure to start taking place, and as a matter of fact I too ramped up my operation as well with all of this agar work I was able to do.
I really stretched the flushes of my last grow and have a bunch more grain ready to rock "LotKid & FilthyKnees Style" this time around!
Woot-WOOT!

My first time going through a grow, getting ready to spawn my first babies, all excited, then shroomery went down. But fungus waits for no one - I muddled through, screwed a few things, and got some things right on my own. Just spotted the first pins of my career last night
