I confess,

I can tell when it's time for me to dose again, because I start grinding my teeth clenching my jaw, now that I think of it.

I confess it will be a while before I dose. Had a hard time to say the least a few days ago. Mushrooms are some strong shit people. Went against my normal routine and tried a little day trip to the woods. Brutal mistake. I'm more of a under the covers in my bed at midnight kinda guy. Felt like everyone was trying to break me/against me  including my wife. Even once I got control of the trip I was so sick to my stomach and my legs were cramping so bad I thought I might actually have to go to the hospital. Cramping is not  the right word. It was like fire in my legs. Almost as if they were going to burst open. Like balloons with too much water in them. Fucking scary shit.

I confess...it's fucking tedious.

if using android, give this a shot. instead of emailing them to yourself, try sharing thru your messaging app, and composing the message direct to your email address. the app will resize the fotos automatically. might be reduced too much, but it's worth a try.

i confess, i take pics with a tablet, transfer via usb cable, and resize/crop/tweak in photoshop, because i'm a cantankerous old bastahd.

I confess the same, I would upload more photos if it wasn't such an ass pain. *

That said, it's not tooooo bad,

All on my phone :
Take picture >resize with app>upload

^^^free resize app for my phone^^^

*I imagine it might be setup the way it is, so photos are stored in perpetuity on the servers and not pushed out of existence by our newer photos?

I text them to myself. They resize to around 800kb. No editing.

Sounds like a not good time man, glad you made it back to us.

I confess to a similar experience on a solo camping trip in the spring. I now know it all started because I crossed the time zone and didn't realize it. I look at my watch when I ate them, but looked at my phone later on which had changed time zones. So an hour and 40 minutes in when I looked at my phone and it said it only been 40 minutes, and the eighth of mushrooms and three hits acid we're already kicking my ass, I started to worry and that put me in a really dark space. It was also around 98 degrees, 90% humidity, and no wind. I had planned on eating everything right at sunset, but the time zone thing made me eat them earlier than anticipated which meant the sun did not go down for 2 and a half hours after I started. I laid in my tent with my dog pouring more sweat than I ever have in my life, worrying and contemplating what to do. because I was so hot I was drinking more water than anticipated which meant I was quickly running out of water. I had a filter to get more I was in no condition to go do so. After a while, staring out the side of my tent, my vision just went black and then I watched everything implode and then explode. Think like a big bang or supernova. The remnants of the explosion started to swirl around an accretion disk, and I just started laughing my ass off. I laughed so hard I was instantly so happy. I was still hot as hell and dehydrated and had to take breaks throughout the night, but from that point on it was a beautiful beautiful night.

I wrote in my trip log (as in camping trip log, not psych trip log) something along the line of "a lone tribesman performing for the gods. I flew and I fell"

So the wife has brought the hammer down... I love this shit, a lot. I get the paranoid stick every now and then,  But when you put it into a perspective of, bottom line you are putting everyone at risk... I can justify my hobby to myself, but like a do gooder, try hard is gonna sympathize with my justification. I confess it might be time to hang it up.

I’m in the same boat.  Grow some gourmet mush and you’ll have awesome food while still having fun with the hobby (unless you already do).  Shiitake, lions mane and maitake are where it’s at.  Then you can crank out a tub of magic every once in a while as needed.

Balance. If "you're putting everyone at risk" it sounds like you're growing more than a tub or 2 otherwise that statement is silly to put it nicely, even with kids a tub or 2 means nothing imo and ime. Maybe if you're on probation and have some serious stuff hanging over your head then a tub or 2 could be enough to justify that statement. Otherwise I'd say there's no need to hang it up, maybe just scale down  :snoopyes:

Not on probation, not a ton of tubs, IMO it's nothing as well, but with kids in the picture... Silly statement!? Bottom line if something were to happen, like a fire, or a nosey kid, nosey neighbors, etc. When you become a parent its your responsibility to raise and take care of them at any cost. Hows that conversation work between glass over a phone? It was nothing, they just dont understand, give me a break, I confess something real. Seriously, wtf.

Take care of kids and family first. You have the knowledge, when the time is right,it'll fall back in place.
I took a long break to raise the kids and do the family thing too.Totally understandable.

Really didn't mean to offend dude, or devalue what you were saying. Not at all. Apologies if I worded things insensitively. I just meant that as far as I can see having a tub or 2 doesn't amount to anything even when considering worse case scenarios with kids involved. And if other folks are saying that you're risking everything by having a tub or 2 its unjustified paranoia, IMO. I've gotten in plenty of trouble in my younger years and grew up in a fucked up family, was raised under protective custody by DCF department of children and families. My opinion doesn't come from a sheltered or inexperienced place, and it is just my opinion. The head nod was just an assurance that cutting back if you were growing a bunch would be a good decision. What's the big deal man? What's all this about I won't last long around here if I keep this shit up?

I hear ya dude. My views are all totally opposite to that sort of thing, and as a result i'll never get myself into that spot.

But thats a tough situation for a dude. I seen it happen a lot with friends n'shit. In some families decisions are made as a family, and in that enviroment, it is without a doubt the correct choice. It ends up that shit guys get themselves into isnt ever really family shit. It's common.

Aint nobody getting bossed around. It's the correct and appropriate choice. Still sux balls to give up fun shit.

Confess that work got too busy to even log on here.  Then my fridge broke, causing a headache for my grain jars and plates.  Lost some, but I think most the plates will be ok.  Glad to have a good collection of spores now!

Anyways, excited to get things going again.  Time to throw out a bunch of stuff that has been sitting around, clean, fire up the hood, and start transferring lol.

Really missed the most getting on here and looking through everyone else's cool shit

I confess I’ve only grown it once but it was awesome!  It retains is crunchy texture after cooking.  Has a very nutty, earthy flavor and a texture kind of like ear cartilage.  Getting ready to put some more to grain, actually.  Run it on wheat bran sup’d hfp.  Shoot me a pm or bring it up in my gourmet thread and I’ll discuss a bit more so as to not get off topic in here.

The silly thing is that it's illegal at all! BUT... It IS illegal,  and in the eyes of the law, makes no difference whether it's 2 tubs, or 2,000! It's felonious "manufacturing, with the intent to process, store, and deliver a schedule 1 substance"...

What's silly my friend, is making lightly of another man's legitimate concern... even though he's got me blocked and won't see me defending him
:hyperlol:

Currently colonizing a pint master for maitake myself... similar conditions to shiitake for fruiting?

:wow: You're right thanks. In my life I've greatly appreciated the times folks remind me that the little things I'm doing are mostly not given a shit about these days as compared to how they were back in the 90s and early 2000s. Which IS true, but ultimately one still COULD get in trouble for such small affairs. It depends on the cop and the context. I think considering 2 tubs the same as 2000 is unrealistic and it would not be treated as such by an arresting officer or a court of law IF it ever even went that far. Non violent crimes are becoming more and more unpopular in the legal system, especially surrounding "plant medicines". At the same time though one mans medicine is another mans poison, what I want to hear isn't what everyone else does. My apologies
