It's on now! I confess. I totally forgot that I was going to take a clone from some oysters I found growing the other day. Took a spore print as well. Spore print yeilded nada. Whoops.

I confess, I've got several teks written for a couple days now, and haven't uploaded them bc I need to upload photos to insert ... I HATE  the upload process, and that I can't reorder the pictures as I see fit... or that I can't find my micro SD adapter to put the pictures on my computer... so from the phone, uploading, and altering from the computer... just haven't found the time, when I also have the patience... it's coming though

I confess that I don't do a good job hiding my activities. Pressure cooker runs outside. Grains are all over the place. Coir. Tubs. Dozens of jars. All in sight of anyone who wants to see. It's funny cause I know the muggles ain't got a clue that I'm growing mushrooms. They probably think I'm cooking shine tho. Lol.

I confess,

if I see someone with a bad rating I can't help but click. Which invariably leads me to click on the bad rating of the bad rater and down the rabbit hole I go...

gotta wash it down with some positive vibes

:laugh2:

I forget to give ratings lots and thereโ€™s is one member I should give a bad rating to but I canโ€™t bring myself to do it.

But I check ratings for giveaways and always check the negative rate giver too!  Says a lot about the rating.

I confess... I never understood why people used bags for mycology. Just did my first bag g2g last night and HOLY SHIT, I get it. Like, I get it. I can't believe how much time that saved me. I just did two bags that I normally would have needed 18 pint jars for. It took me less than 1/4 the time to do all this work too: loading bags, transferring to bags, writing on bags... I got done working a solid hour+ before I expected to. Oh, part of the saved time comes from working in front of my LFH too.

Original process of grains:

60 min boil, drain and store grains
30 min+ loading up jars for the PC
120 min+ of PCing the jars (this includes coming up to pressure)
60 min+ of g2g trasfers

New Process

60 min boil, drain and store grains
5 min loading bags for PC
150 min + of PCing the jars
10 min of g2g transfers

The thing is that the longest parts I don't really need to be around for most of it (the boil and the PC), so I kinda went from 90 min+ of actual work work, down to about 15+ min of work work.

That's fucking awesome.

Oh, also, I love love love love love my agar work now :awesomenod: Everyone should have a laminar flow hood!

:ohyeah:

Did you know that when you click "upload" and you get to select from the pictures in your folder you can select multiple photos at once? You don't need to do one at a time!

My Shroomery pic process: Take picture with phone, email it to myself, open in Paint and resize it. Upload to Shroomery.

I confess...it's fucking tedious.

Yeah, but the order is off... I have to load them in reverse LOL... I'm working on it today... slowly ... They coming... Still need to write gourmet oriented teks, which will be a work in progress: as I'm still tweaking my process... Thinking I'll categorize them as:

General cultivation
Cube specific
Generalized gourmet
Species specific gourmet

Not that I'm an expert(yet) but I know the few things that have worked for me, and a LOT of what hasn't

I am also working on methodology explanation, which I'm undecided if I will use incorporated in the teks, or as a punchlist/separate document for easy referral ... Open to suggestions as well lol

I confess... I'm lollygagging when there's spawning needs done!

if using android, give this a shot. instead of emailing them to yourself, try sharing thru your messaging app, and composing the message direct to your email address. the app will resize the fotos automatically. might be reduced too much, but it's worth a try.

i confess, i take pics with a tablet, transfer via usb cable, and resize/crop/tweak in photoshop, because i'm a cantankerous old bastahd.

I confess the same, I would upload more photos if it wasn't such an ass pain. *

That said, it's not tooooo bad,

All on my phone :
Take picture >resize with app>upload

^^^free resize app for my phone^^^

*I imagine it might be setup the way it is, so photos are stored in perpetuity on the servers and not pushed out of existence by our newer photos?

Fuck yea Shaper.
It really is a total gamechanger aint it.
I remember years back when I had to do work in my SAB I used to DREAD it. Got the flowhood and now its actually fun to do work. I love it. Agar work is a joy with a flowhood vs being a pain in the ass in a still air box IMO. SABs are cool and all, they work great, but that shit is not for me.
I recently found out how awesome bags are too. And I would have never known if it wasnt for the flowhood.

I confess, I hate the dead of winter but I hate the heat of summer more, at least you can warm up in the winter.  :onfire:

I may defect to Siberia for retirement.

Man... May have been a blessing in disguise! Shit happens for a reason: truly believe it!

I cant STAND the cold... I'll take a cool shower if I need too... I spent a lot of time cold as a kid though, so it's 72 year around in my home... REGARDLESS... I'm paying at all, I'll pay what I gotta, to be comfortable in my own home...

anyways... I confess, filtering some WBS I had sitting here, just to use it, but really wanna just run to tractor supply and grab the finch special mix I used last time... Clean of corn and sunflowers(VERY few sunflowers) used it straight from the bag to the jar with NO prep, a little water, some high pressure/temperature, and BAM!!! ready to use pint masters for G2G in bags... Waiting on grain and blocks to cool so I can inoculate them with colonized pints of said prep... Need to check on colonizing bags, likely prep coir... Check blocks, likely open a few for fruiting... Move some colonized ready to fruit blocks outside, and some close to fully colonized blocks into their place... EVER FEEL LIKE YOU'RE RUNNING AROUND IN CIRCLES??? LITERALLY!?!?!

I'm loving every moment of it... I confess I ALMOST feel guilty... ... ... almost
