I confess... I'm jealous as fuck about all you starting up your own shroom business
If you all start hiring people, let me know
Quote:
Sherlock Shrooms said: I thought it made the mushrooms more potent. I'm still not convinced it doesn't
How can you be convinced that they are more portent in the first place w/o evidence, but then feel like you need evidence on the back end to convince you otherwise?
Switch to coir and eat slightly more mushrooms to make up for (doesn't exist) "lack of potency" with the dramatic decrease in contamination

I had complaints about potency at the beginning of me growing (which has always been with isolates I inherited) and so I went down on the dehydrator temps to about 115 degrees and everyone is happy. My girlfriend and I noticed a bit more potency after the change too. Yet most experienced and knowledgeable people swear that temps don't matter, the same way they swear sub ingredients don't effect potency. My experience with the dehydrator strongly suggests otherwise. So I conflate that with the fact that Azur and Hamloaf both swore their shrooms were more potent grown in manure despite all the people that say it doesn't matter, also the guy that showed me a few things in the beginning said the same thing. I've been too afraid to get bad feedback about what I grow to begin using coir until recently, basically out of desperation for good results. I'm anxiously waiting to eat some of these isolates now that they're grown on coir to see if there's a difference.

I should've done small test batches in shoeboxes way long ago to see what's true for myself. I am learning to run more experiments. I know there are many factors that can change how a given amount of psychedelics effects you like rest, diet, etc.. but I should still be able to tell if there are or are not major differences

Better suited for general discussion bruh... Your weak batches were bad genetics: ditch the shit and thank us later
I confess, I've not stopped all day: inoculated 22 blocks, 10 bags of grain, 20 master pints, prepped coir, went through agar dishes and tossed parent plates im not using, picked out plates for tmrw transfers, some for jars, a couple for LC... prepped more oats for 4 more bags, drove to town to take care of mail, and grab some supplies (gloves, alcohol, paper towels)
I slept til 10
Living the dream, and rubbing it in: just ask the gf... She'll tell you I'm a "braggadocious asshole "
BAHAHAHAHA!!!
I confess, I gots no fucks, or time for dem shitz!

I confess. Lsd is fun. Its drugs and doesn't have much medicinal value to me. But damnit it's fun. Got a long ride home tonight. Wife is driving. Kids are passed out in the back. And I'm grinning ear to ear with my head half out the window. What a day.

If LSD lasted as long as mushrooms, I'd trip way more on it but my God the time investment and completely sleepless night if I take it too late can be rough. I have never had a bad experience or negative thoughts on LSD either, just feel good, see beauty everywhere, and it's fun and exciting.
Too much mushrooms though? Suicidal thoughts, world is fucked, I should cry in a hole somewhere.
I am experienced enough to ride it out but no matter what, its hard to shake... Then I come down and feel happier for a few months, weird how that works.

They were isolates as I mentioned in my post. I received them as such and transferred them a shitload of times with no discernible difference in the obvious monoculture or isolate it had been since I received it. So no, not bad genetics. They were potent AF and changed, can't see what else caused it except the changes I made and many people attested to it.

I used a shit home made flow hood loaned to me by a bad mentor for months. It was leaking air around the sides of the hepa filter. Once I discovered the problem it was easy to see the gaps between the hepa and the wooden frame built around it. I never bothered to inspect it or test it and paid the price in loads of colorful spawn
The experience inspired me to build this
 No more colorful spawn

I confess to having a hard time getting ANY people to give mushrooms a shot. Here in NL 'they' seem to have succeeded in making a whole nation terrified of mushrooms. Ppl seem to think bad trips are an actual thing and that it is very likely to happen.
None of them have any problems polluting their bodies with GBL (=car rim cleaner!), GHB, Meth, you name it but shrooms.. Oh no man, that shit is dangerous... whutever
How do you guys experience / handle this phenomenon?
