How long ago did you pour the plates. It can take more than a week for nasties to show some times.

Technically it was 82 hours... but who's counting.
And yes, true true, but I can't leave anything out at my place without mold getting everywhere. My main contam problems (mold in the air) was showing up in less than 24 hour from previous pours. So the main culprit of my problem at least seems to be mitigated. I can deal with the rest as it comes up. I plan to keep the test plate off to the side for a while.

Yeah, hope I didn't cut the safety net loose too early... ultimately, I was looking for a job when that one found me... I'm skilled, and dedicated: and any company would be blessed to have me... ESPECIALLY MINE!

I confess I'm really bummed because I haven't been able to grow in almost a year due to relocation and renting a house now....really fucking sucks!
I tried to take a break from the Shroomery for awhile so I could take my mind off of mycology, but fuck...here I am...back on the boards.
I'm glad I can live vicariously through my favorite cultivators on the boards. You guys really do help me through these rough times.
Think what you want of me, but I hold everyone of you in high respects.
I'm planning a comeback soon....when I do I really wanna dig deep into some experimenting with exotics.
Maybe this is more therapy than a confession, but anyways
To all my mush brothers and sisters

Awesome confession
Hope to see you back growing soon.
And I 100% feel you. Indoor cubensis growing ain't just a hobby. It's a life style. Only mushroom cultivars know the daily grind of running cookers or the the feeling you get when u first work in front of a flowhood for the first time. After working out of a SAB for years. Only a handful can relate.
Here's my confession. and itd kinda strange but for me. mushroom growing is kinda the same as my cats. Seriously I cant leave my house for more then a few days at a time before I seriously start wondering and stressing about how there doing. And how much I miss them.
Is that strange?

Why thank you kind sir.
Kind of you to say
It's a funny thing. While were actively cultivating we love to grip about washing jars. Or cooking grain. Mold, bacteria, etc.
But when werr not growing. That's all we can think about.

It's honestly all I think about...like I'll read something in mush cult and will think about it all day and think of ways that we can improve a process or how we as a community of growers can crack the code on some of the "unobtainium" cultivations.
I'll be at work and something will hit me and I'll be counting the seconds before I can go home and research it....God I need a hobby oh wait

I confess... So I had 5 blocks of Blue Oysters that I did not have room for any longer in my GH.
Outside they went under a tree close to the apartment complex I live in.. No one can ever see the blocks under the tree, because the tree is hanging down a lot. Perfect for no vision and humidity I thought to myself 1 week ago, when I put them there.
Long story short. Little did I know that my landlord saw someone (me) walking in with bags of something white..
So she walked down there to take a look once I was gone, what did you found? (Fruiting blocks with oyster growing on them) NOT to her!! See saw big bags of something WHITE and thought it was drugs and the police was called to the scene!
I guess they figured out pretty fast the it wasn't any powder drugs like she told them over the phone, I saw that pieces of my mushrooms was missing and I told my girlfriend when we look at them one day (hours after the police was there, but didnt know about them then) and I saw some animal had bitten on the mushroom. Little did I know it was the police who had taken samples of my mushrooms, LOL!
I know all this because there was a note on one of the blocks asking to call the landlord, so I did told here I grow gourmet mushrooms and she thought it was super cool, we went down together and I explained how I grown mushrooms on straw and sawdust to her, she let me have more blocks there in the future. So that is good!
I did NOT like that my landlord (nice old lady) now know that I grown some mushrooms in the summer, in case she ever find cubensis spent substrate in the trash container or whatever in the future.. Need to be smart about this. Currently not growing any actives. (Well 1 shoebox of Penis Envy)
That happen to me today lol. Once she told me we called the police I had a bad feeling in my gut lol!
Im now meeting her friend in the next building older, who apparently LOVES picking mushrooms and done so for many many year. I also love to pick mushrooms but I do not have the knowledge or know anyone that has experience, so I do not dare to eat/pick any of the few mushrooms Im not very sure about. Turn out this might be a win, win because Im meeting them tomorrow because she really really wanted to see my mushrooms and talk with me about them.
Hopefully I might get a mentor and someone I can go pick mushrooms that has tons of experience with! Haha
