I confess, I don't have a clue as to what you are growing with pinecones, but I'm very interested in finding out.

Edit: I get it now, that is good to know, I'm just getting to work with them and will definitely be experimenting with pinecone substrates. I have an old lawnmower my neighbor threw out with a missing wheel, I use it to chop up stuff like that.

Edit:
If anyone has any ideas on how to turn a vertical shaft mower engine into a mulcher, shoot me a message.

I have seen people cut a hole in the top of the mower deck (which becomes the mulcher intake) then mount the mower over a bucket. Done.

Not sure how well it would work.

I confess, I'm surprised the mods haven't shut down the above questionable/illegal confession.

This is a fucking genius idea. I've been trying to think of ways to macguyer a wood chipper instead of spending a bunch of money on a chipper.

My best thought so far was something like this:

But powered by a crank and just for wood.

I might go scout out a munted old mower and modify it.

I was just looking at my grow closet wondering what the f*ck I'm going to do with my abundance, pondering dialing back my grow rate.

Went to my grocery store, bought 4 more shoe boxes...

You can never have too many shrooms. If you can consume them all yourself, give them to friends and family

I fluctuate a lot between growing way more than I need, and not really growing much at all (as in fruiting=growing, because I'm always fucking around with jars and plates of spawn). I'm trying to balance it out where I'm always growing just a bit more than what I need in case shit goes awry. I'm getting there! I hope that getting a LFH and replacing my SAB will take care some of my contam issues, and also allow me to use bags, so that I'm more balanced in my work.

My confession: I'm kinda disappointed that my LFH completion is totally butting up to me going on vacation and I won't get to really take it for a spin until next week :'( My first test plate finishes maturing tomorrow night, I leave the next evening for camping... *sigh* At least I get to go on vacation.

You can always go mushroom hunting on your vacation. I find that keeps my myco addiction at bay, while I'm away.
