Why didn't you take a grain from inside the mass to agar immediately?

Essentially, I live in a small apt, so it doesn't make sense for me to make big batches of plates. As a result, I rely on ones I purchase. (Yes, groans, I know. You have to do what you have to do). Anyway, as a result I tend to not have plates on hand, like in this case. Lesson learned.

Sonic's "I'll buy a pressure cooker someday" Instant Pot times and settings:
  • Popping Corn Rapid Re-hydration - Half fill all containers with corn. Empty into Instant Pot. Cover with water. Run 30 minutes on PC. Release, remove, dry.
  • Wheat/Rye Berry Soak Re-hydration - Half fill all containers with grain. Empty in pot with water. Soak for 6-12 hours, air dry until surface is completely dry.
  • Grain Jar Sterilization - Run 2 - 2.5 hrs on PC
  • PastyPlates, MEA Formulation- Run 45 minutes on PC
  • LME Liquid Culture - Run 45 minutes on PC

Don't have to make big batches: one sleeve of 20 at a time... in a gallon Ziploc

No biggy... glad you saved it though

I got a quick q... Who do you sells your oysters/shitakkes to? Restraunts? Obviously i grow actives to make some time, and have a good time, but i couldnt see myself spending the money i have on mycology, on growing inactives. Basically my question is: how do you profit from non-actives?

Don't talk about what is or isn't done with your illegal contraband... I source my sawdust for free, offer colonized grain spawn and sawdust blocks with one flush guarantees  online(where the money is for gourmet: myco-supply distribution)... i can grow a pound of shiitake for about $2.50 all cost considered, and sell it for $8-12 depending if it's a chef, or end user/consumer getting less than or equal to a pound... it's not a killing, but it's mine!

Boss took it better than I thought: August 22nd will be my last day,  and  he's agreed to work me here and there if I run into a jam... all will be fine: couple hundred in my pocket, just got another check that will go into the bank (and the next 8 weeks worth) to make sure I can make it without..  but with the network still in place, doesn't seem I've any need to worry... I'll be fine anyways

I can take a $25 investment, and crank out $100+ worth of LEGAL mushrooms... its a lot of work... but I love it, and I've built it all on my own! (With the help of hungry people of course)

I confess, I registered my business name at the courthouse, and opened a business account at my bank... my first official business purchase? 150lbs whole oats and 10lbs premium white millet, milo, and sorghum mix...

I confess that my flatmate just went into the kitchen where I have a pot of pinecones boiling. They're very confused.

I chucked some wedges of Psilocybe subaeruginosa from old plates onto a pinecone and they're loving that shit. So I'm going to make a handful of pinecone juice plates.

Literally just pinecone juice and agar, nothing else. Just because I can
