Are you just a different version than me?
No myco to do tonight, but I confess: I'm too lazy to cook Raman... who am I kidding? I'm struggling to find the motivation to pour a bowl of cereal... mania catching up with me: bout 9 hours sleep in 4 days? No drugs either

I confess this is concerningly relatable

DnDRnD said: I confess im getting ready to start my first small shoe box, im debating whether to fruit in an SGFC or fruit with a plastic bag over the top, how do you all fruit your boxes?
Im doing 1 quart oats to straight coir at a 1:1 mabye 1:2 ratio, gonna case with straight verm
Second confession I usually case with just verm since the mycelium doesnt colonize it any and I like that but ive been reading alot about using jiffy seed starting mix as casing and even a few people mentioning cactus mix as a casing layer and now i keep looking at my bag of cactus mix and wonder how it will work, gonna test it on a small tray
1qt clean oat spawn, 1:2 field capacity coir only with a 1/4" top layer of coir only at spawn ... snapped shut and hardly looked at until day 9ish, then once a day til harvest... snapped shut til the end, they figure it out... id they're tall and the pinset is thick, unsnap and let them push the lid... mist only once,if at all
What have you been doing?
Ooohhh fuuucckkk that's super easy! I started with BRF but couldn't ever get cakes to pin so then I started crumbling them to bulk (coir cased with verm to help keep surface conditions nice since I have trouble with that) and then I got into oats to coir but ive been doing all my bulk in little tubs like the panda express bowls and glad containers and just fruiting them in my SGFC, figure it's time to start shoeboxes and some mini monos

I confess. I spawned my first box in 6 weeks a few days ago. Out of nowhere I got the fear. Started to get this bad feeling it will fail. Lol. No reason to think that. I have grown many successful shoe boxes this year and my cultures look awesome atm. I'm working with a flowhood now. The jars I used were fast and recovered better than any I have had before. But still I feel like it's doomed. So much for positive thinking lol.

I have about 120 6lb blocks that turned green but Ive just let them sit in my grow room for the past day. I hate throwing out bags. I heard through the grapevine that biodegradable bags are coming along soon. wink wink

Yes I did... But was more worried about what I was going to do with the snake since I killed it... Might be a nice belt or wall decoration
