I feel no more guilt eating meat than plants. Using animals for labor is questionable. Bee keeping is on the line.

I confess I sometimes forget where I came from.  Really grateful for the knowledge I've gained and continue to gain here.

I'd likely be ok with raising my own, giving them a good life prior to humane slaughter... but would more likely end up with old ass cows I never killed lol... mercy killing an injured chicken I know is going to die gives me nightmares

The only part of the Christian bible that I take seriously is the part in Genesis that says God put the plants and animals on the earth for our use. I feel about as guilty eating a steak as I do a pile of vegetables.  I love throwing that in the face of bible thumpers when they start hating on my marijuana and other natural medicines, it is the synthetic shit that they should be bitchin about.

I have trouble with the words "given" and "use"

In my opinion we weren't given anything. As much as a gazelle was "given" to a hunting lion.

We are all animals, I don't think we are above or more special than anything else on this earth.

In fact, I'd argue most everything else is more in tune and harmonious with the world than humans.

Sorry for the off topic continuation...

I confess, I think mushrooms are better than people.

I confess I feel I need to lay down some food for thought,
I don't buy the vegan vegetarian for the earth BS unless they are growing their own produce organically for themselves.
Otherwise it is not much different than growing animals on the epic scale that we do now.  :psycow:
Putting them in one spot wallowing in there own shit for there miserable existence doesn't rest well on my mind, nether does the mass amount of pesticides and nitrogen that is flowing into our rivers and oceans.
Millions of insects, animals and microorganisms are killed to grow the so called environmentally healthy food.

For every action, there is a reaction.

A prime example of the insanity is how corporate funded studies and media like to blame house cats for killing millions of song birds a year. What they don't tell you is that the sunflower seed farmers have been doing most of that damage.
The US department of natural resources allows them to bait and poison millions of birds a growing season so they, you know, don't eat the seeds that they want to sell to people to in turn feed the birds. :lmafo:

There is plenty of resources for each man and woman to benefit from but not enough for our greed and thoughtless practices.  We want to do the best thing for the future but we have a really bad habit of doing it in the easiest and worse possible way. It's less about what we do but more on how we do it. Honestly society has backed it'self into a corner and just cannot do a do over. The best we can do now, is try overcome our own prison humanity has created. It starts at home and with the same money that fuels the problem and with the same hands that wield it. :heroin:

I confess, I’ve been working a dry box.  Haven’t noticed any issues.  If anything even better results.  It makes it a lot more convenient and I don’t procrastinate sterile work as much.  Good one mushboy

True that. Though the sentience of mammals is different that plants, so animals wallowing in their own shit is a lot worse. Also, dairy’s pollute downstream water sources with pathogens as well... it’s pretty sad what’s going on, it’s hard to watch all the destruction. What are your guys coping methods? Depression is so often a product of our response to our environment.. being happy is key to a healthy existence but it’s hard to be happy in the face of oblivion.

Once I went dry, I never looked back

Myco-related confession:

I went to the health department and left my name and number for the head of environmental and food safety & regulations (what a title) to call me back... getting down to business with a vendor's license, and doing it sooner than later

I confess I still dont think I'm following you JAN. You just dont spray at all?

My choice to not est meat is has nothing to do with cow farts. It has everything to do with something man has long forgot. It has everything to do with the Everlasting Agreement.

I just wipe the box with soap and water before set up. I'm tempted to buy a 200qt tote and make a new bigger SAB
