Is it? I don't feel like it is since I still clean the shit out of the thing, and still have to be very intentional moving anything in/out of there.

I understand the concepts related to misting it (surface tension breaking, grabbing particles, settling them to the bottom, etc), but isn't a wet SAB just cutting corners and hoping that the water/soap compensates for bad movements and techniques?

Anyways, I sourced my information from TCs and anecdotes, it helped (though was one of many changes made), so I am not going to knock it.

misting can be a sort of fail safe if you bump the box for all the reasons you posted. I say not misting is cutting corners because misting is in the SOP

Do you have a copy of the SOP boss? Is it by my TPS report :crazy2:

Where'd we get this SOP from though, being a bit more serious here. I looked up 'still air box' and tried to look into its use and build for non-myco hobbies, and couldn't find shit.

Good to know caps! I had some starting to fruit on agar and it looked way cool, but I noticed it was slow to start colonizing my oats, the mycelium looks like pan cyan mycelium almost

I've noticed it colonizes faster/more heavily on soft agar, and even better if there is moisture running around the dish... LC seems to be the way to keep it from fruiting as LM needs very little FAE to fruit... I'm working on a culture that will (hopefully)(continue) to do better and better on agar... I like how it colonizes agar; the rhizo look like feathers

My cat reaches up and jiggles the door handle when he wants inside. He learned it from the dog who can open the door from the outside by pushing the handle up with his snout.
Scares the shit out of me in the middle of the night tho I always think someones trying to break in lol

Well,

My cat sprayed on my tubs last night. All down the side, pooled in between the lid and base.
Soaked the filter material I had on the bottom holes.

Not so impressed with your Kat Krew right now...

He is a freak and likes to pee on plastic things. Like 4 coiled electrical cords on my work bench or a nylon jacket that was lying next to the tubs (his aim is shit and he got the tubs too).

I don't think it got inside the tubs. It still smells like wiz though. It makes me happy I do Muda bottles. I can take them out and give the tub a good clean.

I'm not here to debate but am finding it impossible to resist pointing out that the term cutting corners means doing something faster and less effectively, and you're saying that doing something that takes a tiny bit longer and improves the overall effectiveness is cutting corners.

Do what you will, absolutely, its just strange. I'll take all the help I can get when it comes to sterile procedure. Who doesn't want to lower contam chances? Though with all the people doing dry boxes these days it makes you wonder just how much it helps.

You know it’s bad when you type it in to google and google doesn’t even recognize what you’re trying to spell.  Not that I know this from experience.......🤫

Ever talk to google in the search bar? The results get creepy, or maybe it's just the drugs... Ketamine can induce egocentrism, paranoia, and delusions of conspiracy. Put all three together and you find yourself at the center of everything, by yourself, and everything/everyone is out to get you.
