I'm loaded down with spores, and worked a dry SAB for months before going laminar... dry SAB success is directly correlated to proper sterile technique, using slow concise movements and never placing more of your instruments or self over receiving media than needed to do work... also, a properly constructed SAB, with armholes big enough that movement in and out doesn't disturb the air much

I confess that I ran outta grain and was too lazy to drive to the country. So I bought WBS. I’m kinda really liking it.

I confess I’ve been sitting on the pooper with my elbows on my knees reading your guys’s posts. When I tried to get up to wipe, my left leg was asleep. Can barely feel the darn thing...

Just took three tabs. Happy Hump Day!

I confess,

I finally got myself a cork board and made myself notes and a list of mushroom chores.

Instead of walking in to the room and not knowing where to start or forgetting to transfer this, or make sub for that. I have a plan!

Also, I wrote down every culture I have a master slant for. That way I don't accidentally use the last of a petri without having saved some.

Organization!

I confess, got a white board and only wrote on it a couple times.  I need a system.

I have been getting paralyzed by all the things I need to do.

I see one dish that is ready to be made into LI, and I need to make a new plate for the next batch, but I'm out of plates and I need to make agar and I don't have spawn for the LI. But I need to bleach the GH before I put that in, then this and that and by then I've forgotten the 1st thing.

Helps my brain.

I know exactly what you mean.  Yesterday I knew what I had to make.  Bags and jars.  When they cooled and went to use them I thought I made too much so did some unplanned stuff.  Got done, cleaning up and realized I now need to make more grains for the main purpose I had to make grains to begin with :facepalm3:

I just need to figure out a system on the board.  I like your idea of the masters written out, prints too would be good with dates.

I used to write a timeline on a calendar but it never worked out as planned.  And I needed much bigger squares on the calendar lol

For me, it's just a quick note to say :

-'x' plate is ready for LI > make bottles of this substrate
-Should I put 'x' spore print to agar?
-Watch 'y' plate for contams.
-make agar
-etc. etc.

I just cross stuff off the list.

I was thinking of adding some dates to keep on track to always have some lions mane fruiting. Like your calendar idea

I confess: I got someone sending me 2 different woodlovers a few days ago and now everytime I bycicle to work all I do is look for a good place to do my patch. Have found a great small wooded area only 3 min walking from my house. Close enough si that I can bring a bucket with water there and water my babies in the further.

Im trying to get mine in on it. She will wash some shoeboxes for me from time to time. But honestly as long as she is ok with what im doing than i feel lucky. You should give her a big thank you hug fo sho.

Yes bph, I love and hug her all the time! She is the reason I can cultivate. Without your partner's full support it's gonna be hard to keep both the relationship and your grows healthy

My first actual piece of advice here on the shroomery: get your partner in on what you're doing and make them love it as much as you do, bc if you don't, chances are they're gonna walk someday, feeling like they're your second partner after the mushies.. I've read quite a few stories like that on here.

My husband loves what I do and is proud of my work.  He’ll gladly help after the harvest but not interested in cultivating.  Would be cool though, I’ll keep the lab door open, maybe he’ll come through. :awesomenod:
I’ve already told him he has to build me a steamer, I think he thinks I’m kidding.....I am certainly not.
I can see what you’re saying Tweeq.  If he didn’t love what I’m doing, there would be problems.

One minute shes thinks its cool, the next "its all I think/care about, why dont I just find someone on that stupid shroom site you're always on"....
