I confess, I missed quite the wild weekend here! Urine tea sounds... Well. Glad it wasn't me.
I confess, my apartment that I just moved into is hovering in the high 50s at night and I've been really worried about my mushrooms for a couple reasons: 1) I had them in a closet without enough light, so they are for sure exhibiting weird/long growth, as well as slow growth, and 2) they too fucking cold.
So my landlord is doing all kind of work in my unit to "try to fix things" (seriously fuck them, try sleeping in 50 degree temps for a week fuckers) and at first I was hiding my mushrooms behind things, and in corners... and well...
So I just stuck them in a bookshelf near my one working radiator near a window. This should keep them warmer, and give them the light they need.
I really just want to do more mycology work and can't because of these temps

I use a ceramic element space heater with the digital readings and auto settings based on a set temp.

I plan on doing this once they stop coming into my unit daily to try to fix the issue. Mostly, right now it's about people poking around. I plan to insulate the closet and set up a thermostat in there when I get the opportunity. Until then, I have all of my growing projects on hold

Got a link to what you use? I have a few different ideas that I'm planning, ( https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25861119 ) and will incorporate once my unit isn't having people walk through it daily. I plan to also call the city soon if this isn't fixed ... which will create a ton of vectors of people finding out what the hell I'm doing.
Gotta confess... it sort of makes me terrified on a daily basis.

This is my plan, I've been practicing pronouncing a few weirder ones too just in case. I figure if I can rattle off a few super scientific sounding things offhand and just ignore them I'm fine.
Also, I got in ahead of this and started complaining how I have to hold most of my plants and "other growing items for food and medicine" in a new location until this is fixed. So they know I grow shit, usually my succulents and others are a good enough cover... but they're not around right now

Well fuck.
I was all excited I fit everything I needed in the PC. Vented, got to pressure for 29 minutes and I made myself a burger. Which is when I found a quart jar of grain sitting on the counter.

I did something kind of similar recently. I started up the pc, then realized all the foil that was supposed to cover the lids was still on the table. Luckily they were fine, just started to vent.

Forgot to put rings ontop of myco bags and insert tyvek sleeves. Wound up blowing out 3 bags from pressure/weight.

I stopped using foil on jars. Always seemed like it wasn't doing shit anyway. I use sfd modded lids though.

I use SFD's caulked onto the lid to. I thought you still can't get the sfd wet? Does the wet filter failing not apply to SFD's?

sfds are waterproof and won't mess up your water content, just don't soak them. whatmans are the only other watertight filter. everything else will get fucked up by water. keep your foil for if you need to use poly lids or tyvek/micropore lids

That's awesome. Thanks guys. Covering the jars is a pain. I had no idea.
Then I guess my confession is that I stopped a PC cycle to add foil I didn't need.

I confess that 0.3 grams kicked my ass! I wasn't expecting much off it but I got some very faint CEV, a nice headspace that was pretty fun (not full on tripping or any spiritual thoughts but got that intense loving feeling) and had the giggles immensely! Those huatla kick ass
