if I didn't open myself up to the possibility of good friends, I would have missed the truly great one or 2 I found. Granted, depending where you look, people can suck.

If they don't bring you joy and make you a better person, get rid of them and keep looking.

On that note, I confess, sometimes I think about meeting some of the people on the shroomery. Going for a coffee and just nerding out myco-stylez. I reached out to a local gourmet mushroom grower (the ONLY local grower), didn't even give me the decency of a reply. fuck'em. I've probably got more cultures than him anyway :lmafo:

I pretty much cut everyone out of my life.... in my area everyone is a drunk or just horrible and i would rather be alone than hang out with drunks or guys covered in shitty tattoos that call each other bro and in michigan it's that or hang with trump supporters which is not even an option as my brain is still functional.

I have a few really great friends... Just we're all spread out over the country.. The people around here aren't the type I like to associate with or trust

Yeah, I've been there, it does suck to be surrounded by people that don't jive with you. I would argue* though, you are there, so there is a chance there could be another person that doesn't suck

If there is one rose in the desert, there is the chance you'll find another.
:imspecial:

I loved your description icetech

*not trying to argue . I get it, I do. Most people are a pain in the ass and I'd rather spend the night with my dogs.

See.. now dogs i get.. I prefer dogs sooo much more to people. I spent 14 years with a beagle, took him to work every single day.. always a smile or a hug when needed. Happiness a few feet away, never trying to use me or screw me over in any way. Dogs are the best

I miss him daily.. his dying was literally worse than my parents dying.. very odd thing that. I don't mourn much.. i always celebrate the life, don't mourn the death

I have a ton of "friends".  I have very few close lifetime friends.  People come and go and thats ok.  Appreciate people for who they are, maybe learn a lesson from them but true friendships takes years to develop.  Don't go all in too soon.

And Icetech, I agree, it's hard to hang out with drunks.  I try to cut back on booze and do okay as long as I'm on shrooms.  Being sober around drunks sucks ass.

again, nothing sucks but attitude. I like being sober around drunk fucks because it gives me something to laugh at. I guess it really depends on the type of drunk, but they come up with the best shenanigans sometimes

All the people I know here are friends with my ex-wife...and I don't need that kind of negativity in my life...my real friends are spread all over the US..most of them I grew up with in SoCal.

LOL Trypt, you have more patience than me.  I can take it for a while but then I’m out.  And I am one of those annoying drunks sometimes so I’m not passing judgement.

I confess, I had to toss 4 of my latest 14 jars today. Biggest jar loss in a while, gross fast and gotta watch for more.

Guess that's what I get for doing A2G trembling like Michael J Fox.

Too soon? it's been like a decade since he's gone public I think. What're we supposed to wait until he's been dead 20 years? Lighten up homey.
