This... though i dont use verm (against my religion)... I'm using 3 full qts that boiled for 10min or so while I busted the brick up for easier hydration... so closer to 2.75qts to ~275g coir only... still ends up a tad wet for liking sometimes...
Just noticed the 1qt:100g correlation... I wonder if there's any merit in using it for a guideline?

I confess, I'm uber excited about going forward with trying to do something for myself here... I've worked for someone else, and someone else's agenda for far too long... I've helped build too much that's nowhere in my possessions, neither physical, nor stature, to show for! Going to build my own empire, or fail miserably trying...
Which brings me to my second confession: I'm super nervous about falling flat of my face

Don't be nervous man!! I own my company and its fun as hell! Its is worrying that i may fail but I figure atleast I went for it
Confession - finally spawning some RW to coir tomorrow!!! Colonized oats to coir
Also gonna start some grain jars and supplemented saw dust jars for my oysters and gonna boil some wood for spawning my reishi on BRF to bulk, all I have is soft wood so im gonna boil it 3 or 5 times for an hour or two each time to get all the oils out, its mixed soft and hard wood but I can get buckets upon buckets of it for free

Expect to fall flat on your face. Allow yourself to have a little cry, but then get up, brush it off and continue marching on.

I confess last night I wasted 1 whole sleeve of 20 petri dishes because i've never handled parafilm in my life and I figured I should practice my dish wrapping technique. Was worth it. Parafilm is pretty cool shit.

I continuously have trouble with my parafilm cracking along the edge of my plates. I suppose I should just not stretch it out and use more.

I use about 3" for a regular size petri, think its 100mm... leaves about 2cm unstretched. After you unwrap, always use a new piece or it'll tear...
Edit- I quarter it long ways for one dish...

I confess that i have a huge roll of parafilm sitting on my petri shelf and NEVER TOUCH IT.
I also confess that glad cling wrap is the shiz.

Do you know that parafilm has to keep it's water content or it won't work right (aka crack and split). Cling hath no such problems and is very cheap.
