Thanks. It trully has made me a better person. I was so angry and full of hate and negitive vibes. I mean I have always been a soft spoken guy and people think I'm nice cause I'm quiet and respectful. But the truth was I couldnt even look people in the eye cause I was so anxious. I would bury my feelings and bottle them up till I exploded on the wrong person. I hated myself for being an addict but hated myself even worse without drugs. Fast forward 4 months later last pill was thanksgiving and I have dosed heavy once a week on avarage for the last 3 months. Im not sure when or if I will slow down the big doses cause for now Im foucused on not shooting pills in my arm. I honestly belive the mushrooms will lead the way and let me know what to do tho. Its like they knew I needed a heafty supply so they blessed me with canopies out the gate.

And know your not alone going forward. You'd be surprised at the amount of your peers here that have a very similar story.  Myself included. It only gets better. I don't know you but I'm proud to have you as a peer here. :mushroom2::heart:

I could confess about the medicinal value of magic mushrooms all day long, but I'd just clog up the boards lol

Been done:) Just didn’t feel like elaborating here. We are super close and she knows her dad is a nut. It was such a small isolated deal caught out while not awake I thought it’d just pass. Then the my friends think you’re rad growing mushrooms. Didn’t realize how much thought she put into it. We’re in a smallish community where I’m a wellish known figure. So we had the discretion talk at length. She gets it. And loves the occasional Sunday where she can count on dad getting a bit weird.

Nope, when I mentioned growing oyster mushrooms to anyone it usually ended up with them asking about "magic mushrooms"..

I think it's all in how you were raised and your experience with psychedelics. those with lots of experience, and those who grew up around being discreet tend to bounce around the topic of psyches to feel out how the other person feels before bringing up growing them, those who are eager to try will tend to jump at the potential chance to trip for the first time. straight edge people will just have a full on conversation with you about growing oysters or ports

Exactly!  I've been politely asked to 'not bring any biological material into the lab'.  Love it...stiff sons of bitches...and at my age, too.  Open your mind a little, cracking the door feels good! Vibe, I agree...travel, travel, travel.

mushroom cultures can be detrimental to bacteria. they don't want cross contamination to destroy their work

Thanks for chiming in, and in this case it is MY work too.  And no, there would be no cross contamination.  I was pointing to the fact that the entire hangup is psychedelic mushroom taboo.  Regardless of variety, too worried about the stigma.  It has nothing to do with the work we are doing in the lab.

I confess - I'm so tempted to pick one shoebox full of half grown pins to trip. My girlfriend and I had this planned and I was MORE than sure I was going to have fruits by now. Have 4.5g tea made.. need at least a quarter between the both of us.

Ahh

I confess that I haven't been looking after my currently fruiting tubs. Shit pinsets, and the mushrooms that have popped are screaming for more FAE. I'm only home and awake for a few short hours a day. They lose moisture too quickly if I open up the tubs much more than they are now. I even had to "birth" a few mini shoeboxes into a hastily built HC for all their side pins.

I feel so bad for those tall, skinny, fuzzy guys.

I have like 1.5 feet of counter space in my apt if that. Lol

But I have turned down places for having all carpet. I dont wanna run the vacuum 15 times a day makes me sound like a Tweeker.

My new house had carpet in the room I wanted to use for cultivation and I too did not want to vacuum all the time. So I laid down painters plastic on the carpet first and then laid down 1/8in MDF board used for remodel jobs and such, nailed the corners and the doorway and taped the seams so shit couldn't fall in the cracks. Been working great so far no complaints.

I confess to trying new plant material as substrates often. I just tried some of last season's callaloo stalks to the most epic fail i've ever seen. The shit was soaked for 5 days so no doubt anaerobics moved in. I aired out the anaerobics, then pastuerized for 4 hours at 150. Mixed with straw and literally everywhere there is callaloo pieces, there is undesirables growing. Dont fuckin use callaloo guys

I confess,

I like to go into the warm, humid room when/where I cool my steaming substrate and pretend I live somewhere tropical.

I confess I like to stick my whole head inside a fruiting tub when I'm coming down from high doses. It feels like I'm at ground level in a magic forest and I can also hear the sparkling noises the micro climate makes as it morphs. :bongload:

I confess, this breaks my heart makes me feel like there's a better way... I don't mess with my shoeboxes at all before first flush harvest lately... they ain't award winning, but not bad!

I also confess that I can't decide if I'm going to dose or not, so I may just shoot for a day trip tmrw... idk though! Ugh, first world problems I suppose...

Vibe, gotta work on them patience brother man...

Mateah, I like your style, and now I wanna try it!

Spent the day doing myco and demolition on an old chimney  to get some extra space in the future laundry room,  gotta free up the current laundry room to get a "lab" built... not that they'll be any "equipment" per se... just space outside of my bedroom closet: which is getting crowded lol

Forgot to share this one.. Couple weeks ago while i was working with an oyster LI in a syringe in my SAB, i had used a t shirt to add the whole sticky surface deal atop a shoebox i keep inside there to keep stuff elevated. Saturated with soapy water and everything. Well i forgot oysters devour the shit out of cotton and dgaf about soap. I came back a few days later to a pleasantly colonized shirt up in my box. Whoops :bongload:

Surface of my minis in the HC looked pretty good. Much better than the ones next to it in a SGFC, and the ones that are bod's SSS style.

I find I don't sleep if I take anything in the evenings, so it's only been day trips for the last few months. Enjoy it if you do.

I confess my sweetheart and I made micro dose chocolates last night tipsy. Used a little over ten grams of LGT/GH mixed for six ounces of chocolate with crushed almonds and dried cranberries. Filled 24 molds the best we could.

Took the smallest ones this morning. As she was sitting on the toilet she said she felt floaty. The text I was reading started moving funny. Just dropped her off at work, hope she’ll be alright

Now on to a shower, cleaning up, and prepping sub for me.

i wouldn't use plastic sheet between the carpet and floor cover. imo, it's asking to trap moisture and mold the carpet. tyvek housewrap would prevent this.
