I also confess to getting my ass rocked by 6 grams of RustyWhytes this last week. OEV's were very minimal, almost all mental, cev's and body load. I honestly didn't care for the vibe at all, very racy and no real OEV's equals for me. I'll revisit them soon just to see if it was my mental space or just how this variety hits me.
If OEV is what you're after there's a fast track to get there. I know I've been on this bus for a few weeks now but holy shit there's nothing like DMT. 15-30 seconds to the most intense trip you've ever had. It's fascinating.
I can help take you there for 15-30 min...
DMT is awesome. So is changa!

It's been many years since I've grown mushies let alone canopies (10 years) and I got lazy and impatient yesterday and tore a sub apart when harvesting. I mean tore the shit out of it. Might not even keep it for a 2nd flush it looks like a noob disaster
After that I used knife on the next tub

I confess I spent about $1500 in the last week on setting up a room with everything I could wish for that I felt was missing from my arsenal of tools. We're talkin slant tubes, 500 box of petris, LFH parts, new beverage fridge, racks, more racks, couple boxes of parafilm, new pressure cooker, media bottles, more SFDs, spawn bags, IR thermometer, anenometer, etc. Sheeeit I ended up getting 4 HEPA filters because Spycor doesn't sell em individually. Flowhood is gonna last FUUUCKIN YEARS!
...And I'm still waiting for most of it.
I worked hard as shit all year and damnit, I deserve to rehash this rendezvous. Is my excitement too obvious?

I confess, I may have gotten my new girlfriend a little hooked on this hobby. So far she's done 2 invetro grows from some old left-over BRF cakes I had made up to run out some supplies.
Last night I dragged over my last two colonized jar and shoebox of bucket-teked coir (moving so I'm keeping everything else on ice). I taught her proportions, how to break up the grain, and even my tricks on top-layers.
She's been kinda around for the last year, and we started fooling around when I broke up with my ex last year... and now things keep going
Maybe she's a keeper? I've been in lesbian relationships for the past 9 years, I was kinda hoping to get the D this time... but like... She seems like quite the winner right?
Next I'm going to show her SAB work, and we're going to put spores to AGAR. She's much more excited about working with Agar (because she's vegan?)...
Right?

That shit is wild... I felt crazy AF, but let it spill out... could see it: like bare reality fabric, all possible outcome, before definition
Chup, spycor sells NC filtration filters singly... but not biomax, need to filter search results by manufacturer... Excitement is definitely too obvious; but who cares?

Shaper I think I can speak for most of us as hobbiest mycologists that we overdo everything and obsess over our projects. If you have a parter that enjoys the hobby rather than just tolerates it you've got a win, win. It can be tough to keep a balance otherwise.

I spent a good month+ shopping around and contacting manufacturers and I just went with biomax in the end because it was easy to justify having a replacement already on hand 5 or 6 years in the future when I might need to change it, and I can do that 3 times over without shelling out for shipping or having to make adjustments to the prefab box for a slightly different filter.
Shaper, thats pretty cool that you're getting your GF into mycology. I couldn't do that with my wife in a million years. <--- great sentence if read out of context.

Yeah... I mean. I gotta be honest, I wasn't expecting any of this so it's all still a bit.. overwhelming at times.
But if I'm being honest with myself, what you said is so new to me it makes up for some of my hesitancy dating her.

Yeah, you all are making it seem like this is a pretty brainless decision.
Also, my ex never cared about them, she just didn't want me running sessions in the house
Honestly, I'm pretty independent, so I'm usually not worried about this kind of thing. Like, if you're not cool with it, we don't need to spend time together.

So we all have this struggle?
Mine says I get obsessed when I have a bunch of myc work happening at once. Once I remind her I haven't neglected any of the other chores I handle and this is how we get the meds we need, she gets over it. Until the next time.

I'm not blaming it on being female, as I can see myself getting slightly upset if she were as absorbed by something as I get at times... if I wasn't absorbed by mush lol
