Verrrreeee interesting gang. (Seriously)
But if we could get a string of myco related posts that would be good...
True Confession: I hate waiting for PE to pin but I love watching them mature, and I'm crazy about loading them into the dehydrator!

Why is everyone so crazy about pe and ape here? I know they have higher potency and are supposedly a slight bit more tricky, and they miss a veil, but is there more to it?

I confess. I don't give a fuck about PE varieties. If I want higher potency I can just do a pan cyan grow. I fucking hate blobs and I'm really not a big fan of PE morphology...

I confess I only grew PE a second time because someone asked for them... They are a PITA...
I got three flushes out of a tub of non PE that I spawned at the same time!

I stand by my statement. If you want more potent mushrooms grow pans. I feel like PE are just novelty for people who get bored with growing regular cubes. I've grown them once and it was blob city first flush, half blobs half good second and then mediocre regular fruits third flush. Yeah I got weight and yeah they were potent but fuck me it was a lot of bullshit getting there lol.

If it's about morphology I would kind of get it but ksss would win from pe in the morph category. For me, Golden teacher was fun to grow, Peru variety didn't have that good of a pinset, but the effects, wow, definitely my favorite cube. But I wants me a Hawaiian Pan print
Remember dem little smurphs from back when they sold them in the smartshops in Holland, but the sale is illegal now and the spores are hard to come by without going through customs..

I've got a pan bisporus on agar right now. I promised myself my next trip would be from pans. I want to go to outer space.

My fascination for PE is strictly the way they look and the challenge that they are a bit finicky to pull off. Don't really care about their potency. Sounds like I will be cultivating patience in the process

Sarah Take a look at azur's thread on introducing fruiting conditions at spawning. He believes (and others concur) that this cultivation practice speeds up PE pinning...

Sarah, 100% , +5 my friend the hypocrisy of claiming we are fighting terrorists is insane when we are allied with the wahabi state, basically serving as Al quaedas air Force, yet we feel the need to overthrow every single secular leader in that part of the world (gdafi , Saddam, Assad, anyone see a pattern? All secular)
Funny how 17 years later most Americans can't even tell you why we got attacked in 9\11... Military industrial complex dominates our foreign policy since WWI
Anyone who calls themself a conservative or libertarian but supports having a global military empire is full of shit
@ inoc & co: Y'all should start #notallmillennials
But no I'm right there with you, my ass is squarely millinnial AF.... But none of my friends are (except you guys ), I love old people. I try to surround myself with people who make me feel stupid and unaccomplished, and pick their brains
Empathy is exactly why I am so annoyed by my generation and the disrespect they have for themselves and others... The fact that they will "disrupt" a Nobel prize winning speaker and have the nerve to call them "condescending"
Obviously I'm not talking about every member of our generation, but there is certainly a general trend towards perpetual adolescence
Out of 25 developed nation's usa tests in the bottom for all comparative tests of knowledge, the only thing we scored #1 in was when asked "how well do you think you did on the test". So we are confident idiots, more likely to say "not cool man" or call someone "mysoginist" than discuss ideas or principles. The movie Idiocracy is now reality
Just finished a great, humbling book called The Dumbest Generation, it is profound what an abundance of self esteem and confidence we have, coated to our factual knowledge and ability. Zero self awareness. It really lined up with the trends I've seen personally. Great book, y'all should check it out if interested (though statistically millennials don't read, but I read 1-3 books a day, so you and me can be the exceptions hahaha...)
Also inoc, you might want to join that server thread in advanced, Ive got a bunch of awesome documents I been digging through lately and have been working on a platform for sharing and discussing papers. A few, I'm sure will catch your fancy. Really fascinating stuff, and lots of it
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24264477
Glad to see you back inoc, I have a bunch of experimental and exotic stuff planned for this summer, putting major milage on my new FH looking forward to getting your feedback/input

I'm a grower it's what I do. My wife has learned to accept it. Has it wrecked my life? Jesus Christ, has it ever. Between growing mush and making DMT for a few friends over the years, I've decided to stop growing mushrooms for awhile. I'm going through withdrawal at the moment. No smells of pressure cooker seeds or freshly harvested fruits and not to mention all the rituals that go along with it. It's been awhile since I've had a real job, and that makes me feel really anxious and anxiety ridden. A job? Somedays I wish I never gotten involved in this hobby, then I could be a puppet like the rest of society who's high on meth and heroin punching the clocks from 8 to 5 and going to the bar afterwords. Seriously I can make a grand in a day. I have no motivation to work from 8 to 5 for 10 bucks an hour to get 300 a week. Maybe it's exactly what I need right now.

Why stop if it makes you happy? My wife fully supports me growing mushrooms because she sees the joy it brings me. I clean swimming pools and it's not a bad gig, I really would rather give my mushrooms away for free. We all gotta keep living and money's how that happens lol.
