Caps McGee said: So... I got home yesterday, checked on the boxes, jars, dishes... made another batch of peanut butter robots... made a pack of Raman noodles for the boy, showered him and tucked him in, and left (gf was there with him lol) to go get some food for myself, as the house is a construction zone, and organized dinner just wasn't a possibility last night... anyways, sitting in line waiting for my food, and slammed on the brakes bc I saw I was rolling in my periphery... looked down to see that I was still in park! Looked back at the building to watch the wall settle back in the other direction 6-8", and continue to breathe... I began to panic a little: and then it hit me...
YOU LICKED THE SPOON!
Didn't even think about it until I had driven 5 miles from the house, and started having open eyed visuals... This batch was a little short on peanut butter morsels, and heavy on coconut oil: and also allowed to double boil for 15-20 minutes after being thoroughly mixed... interested in bioassaying the different batches for differences (taste, perceived potency, etc) mathmatically, they all contain 1.2-1.6 dried mushroom powder per candy, depending on the size/weight of the individual piece... I've got hearts and dinosaurs falling out of my ears too, but seems a decent method for long term storage... still have fruit for the tea times lol
I had a similar experience a month or so ago when I accidentally grabbed a 1g chocolate instead of the .25g microdose. Work was interesting.

I confess I Finally have my first grain jar ready to roll I think (couple grains dont look nearly as colonized but I think it should be good, they got some fuzz on them so we'll find out) and I'm so damn excited to finally spawn some oats to bulk instead of using BRF to coir!

I confess. I fucked my back off 3 days ago and havent done any myco work other than spawning some boxes. I got transfers to do. I got 20 empty jars, a bag of oats, and a cold PC. At least i already have some plates made up. I also confess i got lucky with my first attempt at a LC or LI (not sure what the differance is) but now i want to nail it down cause that shit was awsome. I used it to noc up a 1 gallon jar with the last bit of millet i had. That jar has been spawned and is ripping through the sub. The other jars of millet that were noc'd up with agar are at 50% i also confess i hate followig teks. I prefere to read them. Understand them. And then do whatever i want cause its my shit. Haha. Peace i got to get to work before work.

Thatβs funny Bph. I confess I skim over and half read things, start them, get part way through and realize I fucked up and should have actually read it π my first LC worked too, itβs extra work for not a good enough reason for me but itβs fun. LC is cultured (growing it), LI is blended for inoculation. Hope your back gets better soon!

You canβt confess that, describe and not post a pic lol. Congrats on your first jar of grain!

LI(liquid innoculant) is colonized agar added to sterile water with no nutrition, just prior to inoculation: LC (liquid culture) is a nutritious LI that's been given time to colonize more thoroughly... either are unnecessary risks IMO

Have you tried super soft agar? Less dry ingredients, less steps... all the benefits of both agar and liquids with none of the pitfalls...

Careful with those. I thrift and sell vintage on the side (which side, I dunno, I feel like everything I do is on the side), and I grab these up often. The motors on them burn out very easily. Anything stronger than some light ice can kick these in the teeth hard. Oster is much better now than it used to. At least that one looks late 70s/early 80s. From mid-80s on they were horrible until the early 2000s.

No, I'll have to give it a try. I do mainly bottle grows. I like not having to shake at this % or that % because growth is so fast and even.
Thanks ShaperDreaming, I'll keep an eye on it. Apparently, this one is over 50 years old! *I'll be easy on it. I will use it exclusively for... wait for it Caps...

Good! They made them like work horses back in the 60s-70s! If it didn't get a lot of use, it probably has a lot of time left before that motor burns out.
